Grrrr Flashdrive!

OMG.....I wanted to put all my Socotra Island info on a flashdrive so I wouldn't lose it if my computer died and now I can't get the flashdrive to open!

Uh oh, is it asking you to reformat? :\ That's not good.

Make sure you always 'Safely Eject Device' when you're taking your flash drive out of your computer. Never just pull it out. To do so there should be an icon on the lower right of your screen that appears when you put the flash drive in. Right click on that to safely eject the device. You have to do this each and every time you want to take a flash drive off a computer.

If it's asking you to reformat, you might still be able to get the computer to use the files. Restart the computer and try again, or try another computer.

It doesn't ask me that....it doesn't do anything.

Is there a light on the flashdrive, so you can check if its actually plugged in? I know my old flashdrive wouldn't actually connect to the computer unless I was holding it, so maybe your's is the same way?

It's definately plugged in. I click on it to open it and it works and works but never opens....
