Billions of years ago, Earth was covered with all kinds of wildlife, and man had not been introduced yet. The animals thrived, and natural selection worked at its best to bring on the rise and fall of various species. After many years, however, hundreds--no, thousands--of species were wiped out, and the remaining wildlife grew fearful of what had been introduced to Earth: humans. Then, one day, a large black wolf accidentally found a portal to another world.


So it begins...
The wind was blowing frantically, and it kept whipping my hair into my eyes as I walked along the long dirt path back to my house. I didn't know what was going on at first. One minute it was just me, hurrying along as fast as I possibly could, and the next I was stopped dead in my tracks by a huge furry beast.

I'd heard about portals before. Where creatures from other worlds pass over into our own. But I'd never seen it happen right before my eyes.

Before me stood a large black wolf. At least, I think it was a wolf. It's hard to tell exactly what something is that passes through a portal. Not only can the portals give an animal extra abilities, but they also lead to many, many different worlds. Her golden eyes seemed to peer into my soul, and I felt a tingling in my head.

Excuse me, but could you tell me where I am?

I was shocked. A wolf had just spoken to my mind! Okay, this was a little strange. But this world is filled with strange. I remembered what I'd been taught, to show foreign creatures that they were welcome here, in our world. I smiled and replied, "Welcome to the world of Secundi. My name is River. I am pleased to make your acquaintance." The wolf lowered her head, as if bowing, or showing respect.

Thank you. If I might ask, do you have living quarters for me and my companions?

Companions? I don't see any companions, I thought. Then I tore my eyes away from the animal's gaze, and realized that there were more. Many more. Perhaps too many. Where on earth are we going to keep all of them?! The thought quickly vanished. I knew what I had to do. It was time to call some of my friends, who live in the heart of Secundi.

I have been waiting sooo long for this! :3 Thank you Silv for doing the art and templating, I am very pleased with this adopt and have high hopes for it.

This thread will be mostly Valentines stuff, but I have sign ups for my Easter RP in here as well. Owners folders are in the first post underneath the banner. Everyone has some kind of story about a haunted house. Big, creepy, dark, and, well...haunted. But few have ever heard of the tale of Easter Mansion...

Easter Mansion was built on Secundi almost seven hundred years ago, when the young Princess Abigail fell very ill. Her parents were informed that their daughter would not live for any more than two months. In despair, and wanting to give their daughter one last present, the King and Queen ordered slaves to build a mansion for her. But this was to be no ordinary mansion. No, this was very special. It was a mansion made completely of chocolate. The Queen gathered as many slaves as she could to make sure the mansion was built within the week. Soon, her daughter would have one last joy before she passed on. Princess Abigail was so filled with happiness that she lived for another year. Her world, for the last year of her life, was full of one of the things that she loved the most: candy.

You have caught wind of there being a "treasure" hidden somewhere in the mansion, and you have set out on a quest: Go to the mansion, which is now a tourist site owned by the Sanctuary, and search through the mansion for the treasure. The problem is that no one knows what exactly the treasure is. Finding it will be like looking for a needle in a mountain of haystacks. Are you up for the task?

A silver shadow moves through the darkness, his emerald eyes bright against the gloom. Amongst the darker black and silver ticking running along his back, faint brighter silver patterning, like dappling can be seen, shimmering against his shoulders, spine, and haunches, blending with the rest of his coat. On his forehead, another subtle marking, like a star can be seen, bright against the silver of his coat.

No-Bake Cheesecake with crushed oreos
- oreos
- unsalted butter
- brown sugar
- cream cheese, room temperature
- sweetened condensed milk
- vanilla extract

1. Mix the brown sugar, butter, and some of the oreos to make the crust
2. Mix cream cheese, condensed milk, and vanilla to make filling
3. Chill until filling is firm
4. Add crushed oreos on top
5. Enjoy!

*Looks a bit queasy as she pushes in a cart with two giant bowls sitting on top  Proceeds to remove the bowls and set them on the floor.  A red bowl, filled with what looks to be odd shaped pieces of chocolate in varying sizes, some milk chocolate, dark chocolate, and even white chocolate bits fill the bowl to the brim.  An orange bowl sits with frosty ice all over it keeping the contents from melting.  Scoops of ice cream in a wide range of flavors fills the bowl.  Unmelted caramel squares rest here and there amidst other bits of things.  Some black or brown, a few green, and there, black and white wings flutter..*  Oops! that one's not dead!  *reaching out and quickly catching the butterfly she smushes it down into the frozen ice cream so it can;t escape*

Ahem!  I offer you a bowl full of ice cream, chocolate, butterscotch swirl, french vanilla, strawberry and cherry 9with real fruit chunks!), mint, and bubblegum flavors.  Topped with solid caramel squares, and a variety of insects.  To follow the ice cream, is a nice bowl of chocolate covered bugs.  everything from crickets to scorpians!  So you can have your sweets, but still get the protein you need!

And yes, chocolate covered bugs and even scorpions are a real thing apparently.. I knew about ants and crickets but..  I think I shall go be ill now -.-

The wolf suddenly stops in his tracks and sniffs. He's caught a scent. You see him lift his nose in the air to better detect where the source is. His tail wags ever so slightly, and he turns his head to face in your direction. His head cocks to one side, as if he is in a playful mood, the next thing you know, he is heading straight for you! He stops right next to you and sniffs you. Then bows his head to you in approval and respect.

What will you name your new boy, Bun?

A part of the night detatches itself from the serene shadows surrounding the area and moves silently through the woods, the only indication of life the golden gleam of intelligent eyes lost in a sea of black coat. As the moonlight catches him a small shimmer of silver on the side of one shoulder can be seen, almost in the shape of a crescent moon.

The shadowy beast lifts it's muzzle into the air and lets out a long howl. He chases a rodent through the thick trees and catches it, killing it with one swift bite. You don't see him until he is right in front of you, golden eyes shining brightly. He lays his kill on the ground in front of you, as an offering, and looks up at you expectantly.

She blends into the dead brush, her brindle coat camouflaging her perfectly, her white paws sinking into the snow as she spots her prey. Her green eye flashes and she turns her head to get a better look with her blue eye. The fawn doesn't stand a chance against her muscle, she crouches lower getting ready to pounce when a twig snaps behind her. The fawn looks up abruptly and bolts, she jumps in a 180 to face whatever was behind her growling deep in her chest at the intruder to her meal.

I'd calm her and hunt for her and groom her at night. I'd keep her happy at all costs.

My heart is beating fast as I step cautiously through the trees, the snow crunching under my feet. Suddenly the brushes part and I see a sleek shape step past without hurry. She pauses and gives me a long, measuring look with almost glowing, bright green eyes. Her fur is buff colored with dark brown brindle stripes and a dark face to match, and white on her belly, legs and throat. I catch my breath, intake a swift gulp of air and open my mouth to speak. But before I can find the words, she moves on past and seems to disappear into the swirling flakes of white.

I must have lost my mind when I followed my nose, searching for the unfamiliear sent. For once I peaked through to the other side of the shurbery, it was my little pink nose pressed to the large black nose of a gray male! I blinked, lost in his dark blue eyes, like being at see while with the waves crashing about you as a storm through you off the deck. His eyes were the color of that stormy ocean as it swollowed you whole. As I tried to back track, stumbling away from him on my clumsy white paws, I noticed that he was actually a sable wolf, brown and black fur ticking from his back to mingle with the lighter gray fur of his belly.

Sitting, perhaps, on a rock near the center of a river, a piece of untouched meat casually lying nearby, and a series of small rocks to reach the center boulder where meat and lady-wolf sits. My ideal mate isn't that complex a guy. Mostly black, with some gray roaning going on. He probably won't realize I exist for quite a while since I'll be mostly occupied staring at his gorgeous yellow eyes from afar for quite some time. Once I do manage to work up the courage to talk to him I'll certainly be awkward and try to be flirty with light touches but in the end those just won't do. I'm a simple girl - I'll just straight out ask him to be my mate!

Silky wants a simplistically colored mate, so as to not detract from her beauty.  He should be of a coloration that would go well with her coat, so that their pups will be beautiful as well.  A nice white/snowy white sable coat.. yes, that would probably work well.  Warm copper eyes would also be pleasing.

Court her mate?  She won't do anything.  He should be happy to have the chance to be her mate.  She is after all, the most beautiful female wolf he will ever find, and she is allowing him the privilege of fathering her future pups.  Really!  What more could he possibly want?

The beautiful wolf is playing around in the snow without a care in the world. Looking up, she notices you watching her and she bounds over to you. She lies down on the ground on her back and licks your forepaw, tail wagging fiercely.
