Since you're asking - the Tavern cats don't operate by normal genetics. In real life, male calicos either have an xxy pairing that makes the majority of them infertile, or are a chimera, in which case the chances of them being fertile are more likely. (Both are extremely rare, though) However, there is an equal chance for Tavern cats to be calico whether they are male or female.

There aren't any side effects to any of the markings as of now. So basically, you can breed whoever you want without worrying about the health of the litter. (I'm playing with the possibility of there being blind or deaf cats because it can make rping interesting, but as of now every Tavern cat is completely healthy regardless of how it looks.) Once breeding comes around, I will go more into detail about the colors and markings of the cats if people are interested.

And on another note, I'm happy to hear you guys are liking them so far!! Many apologies for being slow with them. I wish I could get them out faster to you all!

Personally I would prefer what you're doing now. Let them all be healthy, no side effects or following RL stuff. FCFC already does that, so it would be nice to have something different and, even though I have part ownership of FCFC, I do have to say that things being simple and not really realistic in those aspects is much easier and more fun. XD Not that FCFC isn'r fun or anything. >.>
