This is a simple little game... A game to help Corlanna sing forth a new breed. The only difficult part is... well, she knows the songs that will bring on the new breeds, but not exsactally what they will be.

She's been trying for nights now, to figure out the songs, but she's finally given up... And now she needs you all to vote on your favorite song and which ever wins, will be the one she sings.

Ok I'm going to have to vote for Sakira Drops by Utada Hikaru. 

I initially thought I'd be voting for Love Cats, simply based on the name, because feline + equine.. but I didn't really like the video at all, kinda creeped me out seeing a bunch of what looked like taxidermied cats (I'm hoping they were just stuffed toys though, but they creeped me out none the less lol).

Angels wasn't to my liking, the Angel wings on the girl are beautiful, and I'd love to see Angel Elenaria, but I disliked the song and the video both.

Sacrimony I didn't even make it halfway through the video, just completely not to my particular tastes, so I don't even have a semblance of a guess as to what new breed this one could bring about.

And so that laves me with Sakira Drops.  I can't understand a thing that's being sung here, and didn't get into the video too much but.. the song sounded beautiful, and kept me smiling throughout the whole thing.  I listened to it a second time, without watching the video as it played and enjoyed it even more without the visual distracting me.  So while this is another one I can't imagine what breed could come from it, it is definitely my favorite of the four choices, and has my vote.

I've also added it to my playlist, so thank you for that

Hmmm, this was tough for me.  Although, I must say, I agree Kadana, Lovecats was a little creepy.  <.<  While I really like Angels, and Within Temptation as a group, it's not the song that called to me the most.  I never even made it to Sacrimony.  So, my vote is Sakira Drops.  No idea what will come off it, but it really grabbed hold of me.

If you're worried about them being to plan, maybe add some kelp to their hair, maybe wrapped around a leg or something.  Not a lot, just a little something to indicate their nature, or where they spend their time.  I think gills would be overkill though.  xD;;;

Yes, definately amazing! Is that the mare or stallion?
I think the mane and tail would look a bit better if they weren't quite as full and soft looking, how about something more rough or stringy looking? Without making it look ugly of course. If that makes sense xD It's hard to tell from the sketch. Also, if i was being picky the rump looks slightly less muscled in proportion to the rest of the body but could be the pose or just me lol.
But it looks fantastic as is, that's just a couple suggestions if you wanted

I think the kelp and slightly stingy hair are good suggestions too, just to showcase their breed.

This one was going to be the stallion, but now that I give it another look... it seems a bit feminine? Hmm... what do you all think? Or should we wait till I get the other one sketched out and decide between them?

I love all the idea's I've been given~ I think I might try adding some plant life too them, maybe around their feet?  and definitely in their mane~

I do plan on making the mane stringy and wet looking, right now, the lines are their to just help me figure out where I wanted them too flow~

And about the back end being a little lest muscular.... is it in the rump or the legs? as I define the sketch a little more, I'll try to fix that~

It looks like it might be more the rump/flank area, rather than the legs.  But then, with the way the Kelpie is posed, it could very well be perfectly fine.  xD;;;

The hair makes it look more feminine, but I think comparing the two sketches would be a good idea. I personally think the pose and the build are on point. Can't wait to see the finished product with the kelp and everything!

I'd say it looks more feminine too I think it's the hair. The rump, just seems a little flatter and less rounded than it should be. I guess I noticed that from spending so much time looking at beef cattle but yes I'm sure with further work and shading ect it would be spot on, it's not far off at all and could be the pose.
So exciting! You know how much I love kelpies.
