Welcome to the Syrian Hamster Association, a new adoptable with a high level of realism.
Our info thread is here and our Q&A thread is here.

We have put quite a bit of effort into our set-up, but please don't let all the info scare you away! Despite all the features it's easy to jump in, even for those who just want to collect cute hamsters and do nothing else. All rules/info you need for a specific event will always be listed with the event, so you can participate even when you haven't read the info thread.

The only important thing I want all followers to be aware of is that I will be aging these pets in real time and retiring them at a certain age (instead of having them die of old age). They will still be yours to keep, but they can't breed or compete once retired. This all happens without any effort on your part, so no worries if you have very little time to follow the shop!

Today I'll be adopting out the first Syrian hamsters in a variety of events Because we are starting our events at the very end of a month I won't start aging the pets until May 1st instead of April 1st.

We have two silent auctions! There's a young girl from a good breeder, who will go the highest unique bid, and a slightly older boy who's a rescue and will go to the lowest unique bid. As common with silent auctions, only unique bids will count, if you bid the same as someone else you lose. You can only win one, if you happen to win both I will let you pick which one to keep and the other will go to the runner up. Auctions start now and end April 2, 2013 05:00 Secundi time.

Please sent your bids as transfers to this account, with funds titled as 'Silent Auction High/Low' (or the hamster's ID#, just something so I know which of the two auctions your bid is for). Easter Eggs
A small celebration for Easter! It's a somewhat semi custom event. For a fee of 25K you can use an egg to attract a hamster. One egg per person please.
It must be a picture of a natural colored & real egg, no a painted/dyed one. There are many different natural colored bird eggs out there, and some from snakes and other animals too, so this should still give you plenty of options ^^ Ends April 3, 03:00 Secundi time.

We have a number in mind and you are going to try and reach it by rolling dice! All dice rolls from all people will be combined to one total. The number is secret, but the first person to hit or pass this number can take the hamster home. You may roll 1d20 every half Secundi day to try and reach it (so one AM roll between 00:00 and 12:00 and one PM roll somewhere between 12:00 and 00:00). And haha thanks Willow! I've fiddled with resizing for a bit in the joinme and this is the one everyone including me liked. The average is 200 x 375 pixels, but I try to vary slightly in size for added realism

No winner for the dice game yet either, and I will change it to one roll every 12 hours <3 Doesn't have to have 12 hours in between, just one between 00:00 and 12:00 and your second between 12:00 and 24:00 (so basically one of your posted rolls should say AM and one roll PM).

Silent Auctions: Toff won the low silent auction with a bid of $3 sg and also the high silent auction with a bid of $173549 sg.

Country is the runner up for the high one, but we have no qualifying runner up for the low one (Kadana and Country bid the same amount), so if toff wants to keep the high one I'll do a tiebreaker between those two people.

Easter Eggs: There are still no green hamsters guys XD I don't mind you guys submitting those, as they are real eggs, but be aware it will make what color hamster you'll attract a lot more unpredictable. It's fine to change your entry if you prefer having more of an influence. I also still need the 25K entry fee from Kadana.
