Not sure if i missed this being mentioned before, but are these Breeding Notes for all SC now? And if so can we request them to be given to some of our current ones? Not all perhaps, since that would be a lot to do but a couple per person maybe. I know i'd love my special ones to have a little breeding note.

Winged, they are for all, I just have to get back through all existing ones and add it in, but it will be done.. eventually.  I need a few things before I can even begin the process however, first and most important of all, I need someone with a very good knowledge of equine coats and genetics to have a boat load of time to sit with me (in join me perhaps, would be best/easiest) and help me figure out what the closest real life equivalent of the colored SC's is.  Some of them may be pretty easy (blacks for instance, are pretty self explanatory) but some of the others aren't so easy for me.  Like sometimes what looks "brown" to me is actually a "Bay" or a "Chestnut".  Some of what I personally colored I know/remember what I was "trying" to color, so those will be easy as well, but I don;t remember them all.  And as for the ones other colorists did.. well I have no clue what they were trying to go for!  I know some of the ones Lost colored for example, look more "fantasy" then real even, because I didn't know there was a such thing as a "frost" pattern.

Once I have all the colors and patterns etc figured out, I have to go through and figure out if anyone has anything that is going to pass at a set percentage.  This however, will not follow real genetics, but more luck and dice rolls.  And not every (or maybe even many) SC's will have this particular bit added.  Probably not many at all, as I'm going to set the percentage of chance very wide.  I want things like that to be special, and not the norm.  Like for this event, I think people have pretty much figured out by now, that all the SC's form this event have a 100% chance to pass on snowflake when bred.  It's something special I wanted to do, to add to the event.

But yea, it's gonna take me and a helper both having a load of free time, at the same time to even begin the process.  But eventually in some foggy distant (near?!) future, they should all have breeding notes.

I'm really glad to know people like them, btw!  I wasn't sure if people would even read those boxes lol  The information there is/was mostly for colorists doing breedings, so they could look at a SC and know "OK, this horse is supposed to be chestnut.. doesn't look it, but hey whatever, I'll breed it as chestnut then!"  Or when they see a marking/pattern they don;t recognize and are all "wth is that, that doesn't look real.. oh, that's frost.. hmm let's google that" (that was me lol).

Anyway, it doesn't mean we are going to start strictly following genetics when doing breedings, some colorists prefer to just look at the two parents and visually mix/blend what they see, and others prefer to throw in a little unexpected surprise or so, and this has always and will always be allowed, because the genetics stuff, gives me migraines lol  So as long as the foals are wearing realistic colors markings and patterns, I'm fine with it

I'm so glad you like him!  I was worried about how that one came out, between the shading/highlighting layers hating pure or even near pure black, the "paint" coming out looking more like cloud wispy stuff then paint, and (for me atleast) once the shading and highlighting was turned back on, I couldn't see his nose spots *sadness* I wasn't sure how well he;d go over.  I almost scrapped him and started from scratch :S  But you like him, so YAY

Winged, you actually might be able to help, at least with your own.  In fact everyone could!  If you had any customs, semi customs, or mimics done, then sending me a list of those with what you ordered (ie. Semi lets you choose one base color, and one pattern, so if you ordered black paint, tell me that (then I just have to figure out what kind of paint it is..)  and if you ordered a custom, you would know that you ordered a chestnut frost appaloosa for example, where as I might look at that particular horse and go "wth is that, I don't recognize that marking!" lol, and of course if you got a mimic, you would (maybe?) know what you were getting a mimic of.)  So for SC's ordered via customs etc, this would be a huge help, in making sure I don't miss-classify your SC's.

YLO I know you would!  Maybe when (if?!) they ever get my lines fixed and working properly, I can get caught up on everything and we can make a start on that.  I just don;t understand what their problem is.  How hard can it be to find the problem, and fix it?  Or should I say how hard can it be to fix it, since they supposedly already found the problem (bad ground line) meh this is so frustrating.  Intermittent net before bed last night, none when I woke at 2 this morning, by 330 ish it was perfectly fine, and zipping along, now it's sluggish and dragging again.  *seriously ponders slapping the guy next time he's out*
