You arrive at the facility in the late afternoon, but the clouds over head look dark and angry blocking out most of the light.  Lamps line a walk leading from the parking area, but just as you note this reassuring fact there is a loud "Pop!" and to a one they all go out.  A soft curse can be heard, and you finally notice someone standing under a rain shelter shivering.  "Sorry about the lights hey!" a male voice calls out "Been havin a bit of trouble we have!  But the walk should be clear to the office, you'll find hot drinks to warm yer inside."  Shivering he waves you on your way and begins stamping his feet in the cold.

A generator hums from somewhere nearby, explaining how the office is still lit up and radiating heat from within.  Through the windows you can see a few people moving about, fetching drinks and food from a table on the back wall.  You may as well go on in now, it's way too cold to stay out here!

Build a Snowman! Entries Closed, Players may begin!

This is a cooperative event, everyone has to work together.  I'm afraid this game does require you to have an art program to use, but if you don't have one, never fear there will be more games!

I'm afraid you have to sign up to play, so we can avoid as much confusion later as possible.

To play, the first person will draw part of a snowman and post it in the thread.  The next person in line will save the image and add another part of the snowman to it (no changing what the previous person drew, you can only add!) and then post the new image to the thread.  The next person will then save the new image, add to it, and post it to the thread.  So on and so forth, until everyone has had at least one chance, and the picture is complete.

When it's your turn, you can do whatever addition you want.  A simple round snowball for the base for example, a pipe for the snowman to smoke, whatever you want.  You can do a background setting etc.  But you can only add ONE THING to the image on your turn. 

Everyone who plays will win a prize!  Prizes range from breeding items, to scrolls, to SC's.  There will be at least one SC prize for this game, possibly more depending on the amount of players.

Save this image, the color is just a back drop and can be drew upon/changed.  Players take turns in the order of sign up (see list above) and edit ONE thing onto the image.  Once the list cycles through, we will see if we want to add more, or end it as is.

Second place will receive a (snowflake appaloosa) custom, that they can watch being colored in join me and direct any changes etc wanted immediately.  Regular custom rules apply, it must be a real horse color/marking, no non equine mimics or off coloreds allowed.  Specific event rules, it must be a snowflake appy.

Snowball Fight

Rules:
When the game starts, each person will take a turn throwing a snowball at someone from the playing list.  When you throw the snowball at someone you will (at the same time, no post editing!) roll a 1d7.  The results of your roll will determine whether or not you hit your target person, and where you hit them.  If a person gets hit in the head, they are "out" and removed from the game.  If a person gets hit in the arms/shoulders, they are "Incapacitated" and cannot throw the ball on their next turn (skipping one turn) but they are also "safe" from being thrown at again until they are "recovered" and back in play.  If you roll a Torso shot, your target "catches" the ball and then has two balls to throw on their next turn.  A miss is a miss, and your ball is simply lost/wasted, and you must hope to not get hit before your next turn.  Taking too long between throws will result in your snowball melting all over you, and you being skipped.  (5 minutes-ish, I'll post if you get skipped).

When I say it's your turn, post the following phrase and die roll..

Hello!  I know I have been mostly inactive except for the breeding season, but I HAVE been working on something (off and on) for you guys.  It's just taking me longer then planned, what with real life stuff and all.  But you all know (or most do by now I think anyway) what I mean with real life stuff, so I shant go into details about it now.  This is a thread for fun, and happy thoughts!

A while back, we had our first snow of the year.  I woke up late late night/early morning when it was still dark out, and saw big fat fluffy flakes the size of my fist drifting past my window. We had laundry on the line, and from my bed I lay and watched those huge snowflakes sticking to the clothes flapping in the wind.  They would just stick, and then slowly melt, then here came more to start the process all over again.  I shivered and huddled deeper under my comforter, dragging Silky under with me, snuggled her close and went back to sleep.

But.. while I was laying there falling back asleep, I had this idea, for a snow storm event.  Since then I have been (with the help of my sister, and advice form a friend) coloring SC's for this event.  I planned a LOT of SC's for the event, but (atm) we've only got a few shy of twenty.  I wanted to wait until they were all done, but since it has taken so long, and there seems to be something always causing even more of a delay, I decided to go ahead and begin with what we have.  Time (and life) permitting, we will continue working on getting more colored up during these events.

So, that's what's going on.  A snowstorm themed event.  I hope you all brought your winter coats and came prepared to freeze your tootsies off

OK so apparently my internet/phone hates me running events heh  It's back up now but we have lost two of our players.  So if there are no objections, I will random the blood bay boy off to one of the three entrants.  I'll need confirmation from each of you first though, that you are OK with that.

I am so SO sorry, I dunno wth is wrong with my phones.  We always have bad.. lines? whatever.. in the winter/spring time with all the wind, rain, ice etc.  but it's not that bad out right now, so I'm clueless.

I am now leery to start any more interactive events, in case the problem persists.  I don;t want to keep poofing in the middle of things!  May need to consider hiring an event runner, but *sigh* I wanted to do this myself :S

*hugs YLO* Thank you for the offer hun, I'll let you know if I need to take you up on it or not.  They did come out and check stuff, and said we have a bad ground line (due to it not having been properly grounded to begin with heh)  I've been telling them for years it isn't grounded right, and they just kept telling me it's housings responsibility not theirs.  And of course housing denies it's their responsibility also so..  But this guy strung a new line for us, unfortunately he can't actually bury it.  He put in a work order for a crew to come out and bury it properly, but the wait time is estimated at 2-3 weeks.  No, I don't know why it will take this long, it just will, apparently -.-

But with the line connected we at least have phones, and internet again.  The downside is, the line is connected to our box, and then stretched across our back yard, across the neighbors back yard, and then connected to their box.  And it just lies there on top the ground.  The ground that turns into a friggen lake every time it rains.  The ground that our drunk and stoned neighbors run/stumble across every night, and the neighborhood kids run and play and rough house over during the day.  Oh yeah, and the wind we've been having is dancing the line around like a kite streamer.

So we have internet.. until one of the above mentioned things happens to yank, pull, rip, jostle etc the line loose.  If/when this happens, the guy gave me his cell phone number and said to call him directly, and he'll come as soon as he can and reconnect it.  Where as if I call the phone company, they have to pout a work order in, and I have a 1-3 day wait time -.-

So, that was nice of him anyway, and it's not his fault the ground crew can;t/won;t come sooner. 

In the meantime, I can use net for as long as I can use it lol  I can try and do stuff here with you all, you just have to beware that if something happens outside to that wire, I may poof and be unable to return for a while until Ed (phone line guy) can make it here to reattach it.

OK, that's my update!  I will try and be on later today to do.. something.. if not, then maybe tomorrow, Mom's nurse comes tomorrow though, so I have to clean today.  I'll still try and do somethign today though, I'm aggravated and annoyed I've been unable to
