That was the worst experience with a school PAC member ever. In a phonecall.

First all the lady wants to ask a 10 year old where to send a Purdy's order, then when the phone is handed back to said child's mother (me) and her mother (me) says "this is why it is best to talk to the parent not the 10 year old" the woman then decides it is best to hang up instead of just get said info.

Then I try phone her back and she refuses to answer. So I let her know that asking a 10 year old for info was not right, and that hanging up on the parent was childish and that I would be phoning the school in the morning to complain.  I am mad.

I spent almost 3 full years volunteering in schools running many of the daily things that went on, as well as many fundraisers and was a member of the PAC (parent advisory Council)

She then decides since I mean business and let her know in said message I would be phoning the school she decides to phone to say sorry, well I did not wish to hear her bull crap apology, and my hubby says I stepped out, so she hung up on him as well.

yep a call will be made, that is no way an adult should act, and not one trying to run a fundraiser.

You'd think an adult would know that its wrong to ask a child for that kind of information in any case regardless of the circumstances, but it sounds like this particular woman has very bad judgement and just wants to get her way, and throws a tantrum when she doesn't :/ I'm sorry you had to put up with her PM, sometimes I can't believe the way other adults act sometimes.

I could have maybe... and that's a big maybe, forgiven this woman the first time, on the grounds that she might have been embarrassed and flustered over her lapse in judgement in asking personal information from a 10-year-old. But to turn around and pull the same stunt a second time on the same family... yeah, you have every right to be angry and to complain.

Although she really should have known better, given that she's working a fundraiser at a school with young children. It really wouldn't have been so difficult for her to ask for your daughter to hand the phone to a parent (or to confirm that she wasn't speaking with you if she wasn't sure if she was speaking to parent or child). *shakes head*

Sorry you got mixed up in a frustrating encounter there, PM. *hugs*

No longer has zombie eyeballs. May still have a craving for brains, as there's no intelligence or sanity left in hers. XD

having volunteered in schools enough years I know that No PAC member is suppose to ask a child in elementry for info like that.

I did hand the phone to my child, which was a mistake on my part and I know this, but for her to act that way

the school will not phone for "Jimmy" if he is not in school, they will phone for "Jimmy's parent or guardian"  Why because kids do not know this info.

PAC chair person was just contacted, situtation will be dealt with, Purdy's order will be given to kid at school and brought home.

Woman from last night will be told never to contact me again, in any way shape or form
