Christmas lights! I love them <3 You see them everywhere, in the streets when you go shopping, on houses, trees, bushes, in people's homes. They give light when this time a year is dark (weather-wise) and they look so cosy, I just love the mood they set and they look beautiful! I always smile when I come across any when walking home.

Raffle
My favorite decoration is the christmas tree. We don't have one this year, or did we the year before, but when I see one in someone's house, it brings me warmth and just makes me feel like being around family, and lovey feelings. They complete the christmas holidays and just make me happy!

Yesterday, my friends, was the first night of Saturnalia-- the holiday! You didn't think Saturn could let her namesake go by unnoticed, did you? Of course not!

Yesterday's winner was Wildfilly! Wild steps up onto the stage and flings open Door #17. The brightly colored Miniwyv who darts out doesn't seem particularly Christmasy.



"Ahh, looks like he wants to celebrate Saturnalia, too, 'dressed' in his colorful Roman finery", Saturn says. "He's even wearing the pilleus-- a hat that denoted freedom in Rome."

Saturn blinks-- while 'wyvs have limited telepathic abilities, she has never heard one speak in full sentences. Usually, the only communicate in pictures or single words.

I wish to come and live in a different realm, Kronos continues. But I need to know what sort of place I would be going to.

Ah, Kronos! If you were to come live with me, your journey would begin at the base of a tall mountain residing somewhere in the far East. As you journey upwards towards your new home, you can hear the sounds of birds crying out through the dense trees- pheasants and cranes that dart through the green canopy like bright jewels of color. The walk is long, but it is not tiresome. There is a stream bubbling along through the bamboo groves where you may stop to drink your fill of the fresh mountain water, unspoiled by time and the modern world. When finally you reach your destination, you are greeted by the sight of a small Japanese teahouse sheltered by bamboo and the branches of a Sakura blooming out of season, as if spring and summer have met and have forgotten the cycles of time. It is beautiful here, it is peaceful, and if you would sit down and accept an offering of finely prepaired tea and sweet rice, you would be welcomed here.

I apologize for my tardiness for presenting a realm for your consideration, Kronos. But your residence, should you choose to stay with me, would involve a grand mansion reminiscent of a fine Roman villa, not a ruin, but as a recently built monument for you to reside within. You'll have a team of servants to cater to your whims and care for your new home.

The floors would all be inlaid with intricate tile mosaics displaying beautiful scenes from great mythological stories, walls of shining white marble and gleaming pillars supporting a red tile roof. Within its walls but open to the grand sky will be a lush and peaceful garden, filled with thick grasses, vibrant flowers and a teaming fruit and vegetable garden that you and your entourage can consume. You'll have a private bathhouse and rooms for sunning and perching on alcoves and ledges to admire the view of the countryside.
