Writing Contest

It was late on Halloween night. The trick-or-treaters had long since gone to bed, tossing and turning in candy induced comas. I turned my porch light off, tucked the last of the candy away so I couldn't see it and be tempted, and curled up on my couch for some late night scary movie watching.

The music played in eerie minor chords. Pecking at my popcorn, my eyes widened. "Don't go in the basement! Don't you know to NEVER go in the-"

CRASH!

Leaping out of my seat, remote now wielded as a weapon, I turned to find the source of the noise. What was that? Did it come from....the basement?

Wait a minute. I don't HAVE a basement. Phew what a relief. Now the crashing sound came from my kitchen. Quickly I moved inside. The lights blazed to life and I grabbed a knife ready to defend myself from...absolutely nothing. Well this was peculiar.

Then I heard skittering. The sound of little claws scritch-scratching in the cabinets. Slowly, carefully, I opened the cabinet, ready to destroy whatever monster may be lurking there. The sound was coming from the candy jar and suddenly-!

2 adorable ratty faces popped up form the orange bowl. For a minute I didn't know what to think, until they turned to look at each other. Then the one with red eyes spun around, and using his nose, bumped a piece of candy towards me. "Oh, so you wanted to go trick or treating too I see." The two ratties almost seemed to nod before diving back in to the candy bowl.

I think the Santa Ratty should go to YLO. I debated for a while between her and sera for this, as both have been exceedingly helpful to me in getting started on Secundi and both have lost dear dear friends in the last few weeks. Either one would be wonderful homes for this Santa ratty, but I believe that YLO loves this adoptable and would feel very honored and lucky to have him.

I believe it should go to Silvanon, and that i think because i think Silvanon is an extremely sweet, and kind person. She forgave me for something i did, and helped me get moving forward and how to express myself to say sorry to the people i hurt in the process, and besides that she does an awesome job with Secundi in general and Quinsta

In the red ratties markings, it almost looks to me like the story of a white dove making a nest in a snowy tree as she sleeps through a soft winter storm, or perhaps even an angel that sits on a cloud watching the snow fall around her as it gathers on her wings and in her hair ^^

If you rotate the red girl, then the white blob on her bottom looks like a little elephant, balancing a ball on it's trunk! The little white circle is the ball, and the long bit sticking out to the left it's trunk and the rounded bit to the right it's ear. Then the blobs below are it's legs.


I tend to see things in clouds that no-one else does... anyone else see the elephant?
