Ok, I think I've got enough dogs now.  I've got 12 dogs, so there'll be 12 slots to participate.  To sign up to participate, reply with "I want to play Shelter Dog!"

Play will go in order of signup.  Everyone playing receives a box with a dog in it.  When it's your turn, your box opens.  You may choose to either keep the dog in your box, or turn it in to the Shelter.  If you turn in your dog to the Shelter, then you get no dog that round.  After everyone's boxes have opened, then we go back through the players in the order of signup again, and everyone who turned a dog in to the Shelter may choose a dog from the Shelter to keep (yes you can pick your own dog again if you like).  Please no begging or whining that you want a particular Shelter Dog before your turn. 

If you don't post a decision within 5 minutes then you forfeit your turn.  In the first round that means your dog automatically goes into the Shelter.  In the second round that means your turn gets skipped and you can choose from what's left at the end.
