And red roan has chestnut as a base, not black >.>

I think red roan is a agouti gene..which is a dilute to the black base. Restricts black to certian points and all other areas get turned red..

Just read on it..you are correct red roans have a chesnut base..which really drives me a bit mad because a chesnut base is believed truly at one point a black base and some gene came along and diluted the black base to a red color..thus it would seem chesnut would be a dilute gene..but idk its all really stull mostly mumbo jumbo to me.

There are also bay roans, which do have the agouti gene - they have the dark head and legs with a more reddish toned body, unlike the blue roan which has the dark head an legs and a "blue-ish" toned body or the chestnut/red roan with chestnut/red head and legs and reddish body

I've never heard of chestnut being a "dilute" of black... many mammals (horses, dogs and cats in particular, and others that have a wide variety of colorations) have the two base colors - black and red - one being dominant over the other, and then various other genes to modify, dilute or mask the two base colors

Ravv can studs be over bred or is it as in RL and they can pretty much go the like energizer bunny.

They can be overbred, but not nearly as quickly as mares. It would take a lot of breedings, especially a lot of close together breedings, for me to step in when the horse in question is a stallion.
