I just realized, I have to wait for next time to breed, all my lovelies are competing!

Grey is a dominant gene. If your girl is GG then you will get a grey foal for sure (Gg).
But she could also be Gg, because the grey is dominant and would show.
If that's the case the foal could be Gg or gg. If mom passes on g instead of G you will have a gg foal aka non-grey.

see.. I have no clue lol  Mare isn't mine.  When asked about her, the answer came back grey.  Just grey.  But then I go to the site, and see those little codes.. and charts, and I don't understand how to use them, or yea.. my head gets all esplodey feeling lol

Which is completely fine.  Next time I shall plan ahead, and pester soe nice folks for breeding advice/help.  Because anythign I may possibly come to understand now, I'd sadly forget again..  It was always the way for me :S

At any rate, I shall have fun breeding regardless.  I usually breed for "ohh pretty!" anyway lol

Oops, sorry, I missed this post! This is the correct place to name them, but please wait 2 weeks from the date of birth

And I don't differentiate between sorrel and chestnut. I've always just thought of sorrel being the term of Western riders and chestnut being the term of English riders for the same coloration. I use chestnut.

In other news...
My cat tore up my right arm today, and given that I'm right-handed, this is making coloring the grown foals difficult. I'll see how my arm's doing tomorrow. Sorry for the delay
