From the post an inspirational pic/s event Garney held.  Got to pick a dog that was posted to get a custom of, and I chose the wild dog, hoping.. I've wanted one since I discovered the Kennel, and now I have one.  She's so beautiful, thank you so much Garney!

I was a little concerned how it would look, as I couldn't decide which breed would be best for the wild dog coat.  But I'm extremely happy with how she turned out.  I had planned to use her as another mate for my Storm.. but well, she's so stunning, I now think she needs her own mate lol so I have to find a special boy for her

Oh, so "wild dog" is an actual breed?  Okay, cool!  I thought it was just a catchall for non-specific breed or something.

i think its technically "african wild dog"
but those arent a breed for kennel, just inspired the coloration (they are sort of like wolves, dingos, or coyotes, canid but not "dogs" as we know it)

however, when she said not the right breed, she means kennel breed. 99% of kennel owners dont mix breeds, for example, we dont cross a german shepherd with a poodle. thats what she means by yours arent the right breeds to mate with hers.

yep yep, what Indigo said   trouble is an Alaskan husky, so she needs the same in a mate.

And, I think, if I remember right, registered kennels aren;t allowed to mix breed.  So if you ever want to register your kennel and get all the benefits form doing that, then be careful to not mix breed

I read, thanks.  At first (and 2nd) glance, it seems that the lemontoss site is geared for PI and Kennel owners as opposed to Secundi and individual owners.  Since I'm not on PI; nor am I wanting to run a whole kennel, I probably should just stick to the basic stuff here on Secundi?

Also, for the same reason, I probably shouldn't offer for people to use my dogs for their breedings since my dogs don't seem to be on the lemontoss site and therefore have an unrelated pedigree?

PI is completely and totally a thing of the past. That's why I'm redoing the site.

The lemontoss site IS the kennel... but it doesn't have pedigrees, so... you confuse me.

No sweety, they are moving to secundi. From what I understand "old world" (lemontoss) dogs arent required to move here, but some are choosing to. and new dogs will be added here, not there. Any and all rules on that website apply to dogs here. Keep in mind, Garney and team are working thier hineys off, and the website isnt fully updated, as she said.

Not to mention, PI + Kennel = no longer exists.

the pedigree of dogs here who have parents in the old world isnt a smooth code, so its not showing right now, but the lineage doesnt break just because they moved to secundi. If, for example, my last remaining old world dog decided to breed with my secundi dog, the mother part of thier lineage wouldnt show correctly in the system here, but Id put that in her description.
