*Octopuss* Official Breeding thread

Welcome to the adoptable Octopuss! Combining Cephalopods and Felines since 2010!

This is going to be an open system.  Each person will get to put in one breeding at a time, and I will color as I have time.  However you must own items before you put in a breeding.  I will try and open sales and events often so items can be found.  To claim a breeding is free, but the items may not be when you get them.

Each person may only have 1 active breedings/form.  Hopefully this will keep my workload down.

~ Each female Octopuss may only be used every second Spawning

~ Each male may breed 2 times (Unless it is being used in a same gender breeding, then the one being female can only breed once) per each Spawning

~ You may NOT interbreed species

~ Pose for Octopuss, Squitty or Nautaline are random, you may not choose.

~Breeding and RB fees must stay to site currency, or octopuss/items/eggs


Questions & Answers

How many eggs do Octopuss have?
~ With each breed a brood of eggs can be a different size.
Octopuss can have between 3-5
Squitty 2-4
Nautaline 1-2
and Cattlefish 2-3

Can poses be passed down?
~ no sorry, poses are random.

Can they inbreed?
~ Yes, but really, why?  We would prefer they not, but really can't stop you from doing it

How are patterns and Colors passed on?
~ I try pull from both parents, or go in between.  there is no set way of doing it, if I have a hard time picking and choosing I may assign markings to dice and roll

What do the shells do?
~ that is easy to explain with the website which lays each shell out easily enough

Just wondering how long does it take for named eggs to grow? ^^
And now that there isn't really a breeding season anymore, how often can a lovepair breed?

Love Pairs can only breed once every second spawning (so if you use a love pair this time, there must be another breed request in between using them again as per the female rule)

as for named eggs they shoudl grow as soon as they are named, but if I forgot to grow one that is human error
