Breeding Season Information

During a breeding month, each user can request one breeding for a 10k fee. Outside RBs and studdings are permissible; users may even borrow both dam and stud. One breeding will typically result in one foal. Studs can be bred infinite times per season; mares can be bred only once per season.

Once you decide which Cloven to breed, post this form in blue:

I do have a question.. How do the genetics and such work? Like my gal and boy both have a form of paint (Dunno if they're the same or no) and my boy also has tips... Will the foal be paint visible carrying tips...? Or is there a chance for tips to be present? And if they're both overo, will there be a chance of lethal foals?

All these asked before I submit my breeding XD

ETA: Looking through the markings, I realize both of mine are tobiano, so no chance of lethal foal I believe XD Am still cruious though.

All the genes are basic dominant/recessive traits. If they are visible, starters are Gg (picking 'g' at random) -- bred Cloven can be potentially GG if two visibles are bred together. If they are not visible, they are gg.

So for the most part, crossing a visible (insert marking here) with a non-visible (insert markings here), you have a 50% chance of the foal displaying the markings and a 50% chance otherwise.

Crossing two visible (insert marking here) Cloven gives you a 25% chance of a true-breeding visible, a 50% chance of a heterozygous visible, and a 25% chance of a non-displaying foal.

Base colors will be at my liberty; they aren't coded. Breeding a pink and a red Cloven will result in a foal somewhere in that range, though; pink x red will never equal green.

No chance of lethal foals at all!
