{Garden Noms} Interested in breeding?

Sorry for this post being so long but please read it all if you're interested in breeding Garden Noms

Garden Noms don't have breeding seasons. Instead, we have a sort of  "waiting list" and I'll  contact you when it's your turn and when I have the time to do breedings.
To be added to the waiting list, please post your Username in bold. Don't worry, though - you don't have to commit to breeding your Noms if you want to be on the list. You can still say "no thanks" when it's your turn. However, you have to own at least one Garden Nom to be added to the list.

Breeding Items:

These aren't up for general sale, you can only buy your breeding items when it's your turn. They are mostly here just to show you what's available and how much items are. It's possible that I'll change the prices over time.


hay: item needed to breed two Noms. For each bit of hay they'll have one baby. - 100 SG (5 available)


pink flower: guarantees that the baby is a girl -  500 SG (5 available)


blue flower: guarantees that the baby is a boy - 500 SG (5 available)


orange carrot: baby inherits father's body markings - 2000 SG (2 available)


white carrot: baby inherits mother's body markings - 2000 SG (2 available)


purple carrot: baby will have a mix of both parents' markings - 10000 SG (1 available)


snail: baby will have a random one of the available body markings - 1000 SG (2 available)


neon snail: baby will have a random one of the available wing patterns - 100 SG (3 available)


bee: baby will inherit father's wing patterns - 50 SG (3 available)


blue bee: baby will inherit mother's wing patterns - 50 SG (3 available)


moonstone: baby will be a Night Nom if one of the parents is a Night Nom - 20000 SG (1 available)


amber: baby will be a Flight Nom if one of the parents is a Flight Nom - 20000 SG (1 available)




Markings can also be passed on without items. For a body marking to be passed on, both parents have to have the same marking.
A wing pattern definitely will be passed on if both parents have it. If only one parent has it, there is a 50% chance of the pattern being passed on.

To breed a Night Nom, both parents have to be Night Noms. If only one of the parents is a Night Nom, you need a Moonstone to breed a baby Night Nom. You can't breed a Night Nom from two normal Garden Nom parents.
Breeding a Night Nom with a Flight Nom will also result in Night Noms.

When it's your turn, your Noms can have up to 5 babies. It doesn't matter whether they are all from the same pair or whether you breed 5 different pairs. Females can be bred once per turn, males indefinitely.
However, you may only keep 3 babies for yourself, so if your Noms have 5 babies, you' won't be able to keep them all. You can trade them, sell them, or give them away - it's up to you.
They grow up when they're about two weeks old and I would like them all to have a home by the time they're grown up. I can also rehome them for you if you like <3

Once you're done breeding your Noms, you can post in this thread again to be added to the Waiting List again.

This is an example of what the baby lineart looks like.  As you can see, the babies don't have their wings yet but they will have them once they're all grown up ^_^

I'll try to make sure that I keep running regular Garden Nom events and don't get too caught up in breeding, so hopefully you'll be able to get your first Nom soon.

I will also have 2 spare babies to rehome once my Noms are done breeding as I plan on getting 5 babies ^^ I want to auction one (if that's allowed?) and give one away for free ^^

You can pretty much do whatever you want to rehome them - except sell them for real $.

I think I have most patterns written down now.. Except for Vienna's (#009) wing pattern. It reminds me of the Swirl pattern a lot of my other Noms have, but this one looks different. What is it called? ^^ (I don't even know what the wing patterns are called xD I have Fade, Spots, Stripes & Swirls written down)

I don't think it was too long.  Not compared to a lot of others I have seen (and even made).  If you didn't give us all the information, then there would be a lot more questions, and you'd end up giving the information in answers, throughout the thread.  Better this way, to have it all up front

I was wondering, is it possible to get the Rhinelander marking when using a snail?
I know that pattern is meant to be a bit rare, so maybe you are only allowing it for customs and when breeding Noms that have that pattern.

*continues plotting* I do want a Rhinelander, it's the only pattern I don't have yet xD
(if you are ever interested in pets I have up for trade, I'd love to trade for (custom) Noms<3)

Yes, you can get the rhinelander marking when you use the snail. You have the same chance of getting rhinelander as you have of getting any of the other patterns

I'll have a look at what pets you have up for trade. I do actually like some of your kennel dogs but I think that adoptable is a bit too involved for me.

You can get as active as you want, of course. Just getting a couple dogs you like and maybe breed them isn't that hard, I think prodecures for regular owners got quite a bit easier now that we're on secundi.
