Marigold's image isn't loading all the way for me.  The bottom portion is sort of.. cut off..  Even when saving to my comp, the bottom bit is still cut off.  I tried F5'ing, it didn't help.  Anyone know how I fix this?

Stars/Constellations (which will probably overlap Mythology)

Altair: Aquila; "the flying one", which would be awesome on a horse.

Aquila: "the eagle"; another horsey name?

Atik: Perseus, "shoulder" (of the Pleiades), the infamous Omicron Persei and a fairly nice name in its own right. I have no clue if it has 8 planets. XD

Betelgeuse: Orion; ignoring that the name means "armpit" for a bit, having a pet with a name pronounced Beetlejuice could be fun?

Bellatrix: Orion; "the warrioress", sounds neat and overlaps with Harry Potter as well.

Corvus: "the crow"; which could be nice for a black dog or horse.

Mira: Cetus; "wonderful", part of the "sea monster" constellation and otherwise known as Omicron Ceti. Tell me that isn't awesome. XD

Nunki: Sagittarius; "of Enki", the Sumerian god of creation/crafts/water... given my love for the novel Snow Crash, I love this name and this star.

Procyon: Canis Minor; "before the dog", maybe as a fun canine complement to Sirius, the dog star. Procyon does remind me of raccoons though.

Rigel: Orion; "foot", yes, it's Orion's foot, but I love the name Rigel. Beautiful star too.

Sirius: Canis Major; "scorching", I know you already suggested it, but I love Procyon and Sirius for puppies. =)

Vega: Lyra; "the swooping", which would be another fun name for a horse.

Gods/Goddesses

Anubis: Egpytian god of the afterlife. Since he was the jackal-headed god, that could be an interesting name for a puppy, provided the connotations with death aren't too weird. =)

Artemis/Diana: Greek/Roman goddess of the hunt, which could be fun for a puppy. Her brother could be Apollo.

Athena/Minerva: Greek/Roman goddess of war, justice, and wisdom. I adore the sound of both names, and she governs some lofty concepts. All around she was an amazing goddess.

Bastet: Egyptian goddess of protection and the sun/moon. And cats. Because I find the idea of naming a dog after the goddess of cats to be amusing. I'm horrible like that. XD

Isis: Egyptian goddess of magic, fertility, and motherhood, also the protector of the dead. All around awesome deity. Her brother could be Osiris if you choose the name for a pup.

Mielikki: Finnish goddess of forests and the hunt, another fun name for a puppy perhaps. For all the roleplay geeks out there, yes, she's an actual goddess and not just from Faerun.

Mnemosyne: Greek Titan of memory. Bit of a mouthful perhaps, but it's fun to say once you've got the hang of it. Since you listed Calliope, I felt I had to list their mother.

Persephone: Greek goddess of the spring and grain, and Demeter's daughter. I guess everyone can tell I like the name. =)

Selene/Luna: Greek/Roman goddess of the moon. Already suggested, but because I've listed Artemis and Apollo, I have to suggest Helios or Sol for a brother here.

Nice-Sounding Names

Alexander or Alexandra/Sasha: "defender"; A bit simple perhaps, but I'm of the opinion that Sasha is the best nickname for those two names ever.

Ariadne (and Ariana by extension, though Aria makes a cute nickname): "most holy"; the daughter of King Minos who helped Theseus escape from the Labyrinth. I just love how Ariadne and Ariana sound, these were my all-time favorite names until recently.

Michaela/Miki, Mika or Kayla: the only feminine form of Michael I like other than Michelle. McKayla would be son of Kayla, which is just weird. XD

Miriam/Miri: one of the original forms of the name Mary and quite lovely on its own; also, while I think Alnaeyah would be miffed that I'm suggesting Miri, I think it's adorable. =)

Nadya or Nadia (from Nadezhda, which while beautiful is a bit cumbersome to say at first): "hope"; another one of my favorites and a great meaning as well.

Natalya/Natasha: "born at Christmas"; while the meaning is rather specific, these are two of my all time favorite names. They're beautiful to my ear.

Oksana (from Kseniya which derives from the Greek name Xenia): "hospitality"; another name I really like.

Penelope: "weaver"; since Calliope was listed, I figured a similar sound could be nice. Also, there's just so many fun nicknames to choose from.

Sophia/Sonya: "wisdom"; like Athena above, I love the meaning associated with this name.

Tatiana/Tanya: I wish it had a listed meaning beyond the feminine form of a Roman name, but it's still a name I adore. Though it irks me a little when the meaning is listed as "fairy queen". Pretty sure that was Titania and unrelated.

...and I will be good and refrain from dropping even more Russian and Slavic names/diminutives on top of you, though your listing of Katerina (Katya perhaps?) is making it tempting. I've been doing a ton of research on the names though, and my love of them is only growing. =)

I love names like Samwise and Bellatrix, because "Sam" and "Bella" sound like totally normal names. Only when I use the full name will people recognize the nerdy origin XD I also really love Peregrin/Pippin for the same reason, but since that was one of my examples I didn't judge it.
