We're getting a little more settled, just a few more things to hammer out.

Now, just to be clear:
- All your old dogs are just fine, but we strongly recommend importing.
- Until/unless we work something else out, all procedures set up on the forum will continue, sans the fees.
- Unless otherwise stated, dogs WILL go into the Secundi system by default.

As you can see, a link will be provided for you to continue entering the dog into the shiny and to use on your kennels if you absolutely have to (of course for bandwidth reasons we would prefer you to save images and upload them to your own site, links to the secundi pet page preferred, but not required).

This would mean that no changes will be made to the competitions or kennel registrations if you're using imported dogs. I don't see why a dog on Secundi can't compete in our events, the entire Kennel is here on Secundi, our "facility" is here, and it doesn't give the dogs any advantage over Secundian critters.

Dogs already in the shiny will have their images edited by us, so you don't have to spend your edit.

Silvanon Imports

Imports are now open for business!

You may purchase a Kennel import item by going to the main Secundi site, click on Agencies, click on the Kennel, and then click on the Kennel's Store link.

One import item lets you import one old world Kennel dog into Secundi.

Some things of note:  Kennel dogs imported will lose their certs here on Secundi.  Ribbons and packs will be going into a special Agency Info box on the dogs.   If you especially want to keep a certed image for an imported dog, I suggest you save to your computer the certed file, which you may display in the dog's display here on Secundi if you like.  Champ packs equipped to dogs can be returned to your owner folder if you prefer.

Currently I (Silvanon) only have the dog images themselves, so for dogs with equipped champ packs, you have three choices:  

1. Let the champ pack disappear
2. Have that exact champ pack returned to your owner folder later by a worker who has the file for it
3. Request a standard champ pack be put in your owner folder to replace the one equipped to your dog (please specific which standard you want)

Using your Import Item

To use an import item you've purchased, post in this thread with the following form:

You may post for two imports per round.  A round ends and a new one starts when I post "Done to here, new round starts."

Garney Imports

Champ packs and ribbons will be going into the Agency Info box.

Garney has all pack files, or she should anyway. So don't worry about your packs.

Using your Import Item
To use an import item you've purchased, post the images of the importing dogs to this thread. When Garney posts "Garney is ready to import"

You can post as many dogs as you have import items SO LONG AS THEY HAVE THE EXACT SAME CHAMP PACK. Once I say I'm done with those, you can post again. Try not to edit old posts, it confuses me.

If your dog is missing any ribbons on the cert, please make a note and they will be added. This is on your honor. If you don't know, then don't bother with it, I'll figure it out when I catch up on those and add them then.

- Small lineart edits to one or both dogs, ie. each with a collar.

The next 10 Shiny Dogs* posted will be imported for free, as testing. Use the import form above, limit 2 per owner.

*Shiny Dogs are any dogs already entered into the Kennel comps automated "Shiny."

Both are Shiny Dogs, but only one (Fenella) has points, and neither are part of my main competition stock. Are they still okay for the free option? I have no passports.

Okay, there is a problem with adding Secundi dogs to the Shiny IF the dogs were never imported.

If he hadn't had his Kennel ID# of 1775 (from the link below) I would have had to enter his ID into the shiny as 431... which might conflict with another dog.

The shiny won't accept letters or any (sec) designation to allow two dogs of the same number. So we'll have to figure out something for those.

Imported dogs being added to the Shiny should use their OLD Kennel ID#, not their Secundian ID# and there's no problem.

I do have three of my standard champ packs in my folder, would I be able to equip them to three of my dogs?  One of them was already equipped to Keitaro before he got imported.  The other two could be equipped to Akiko and Reid if possible.

Your dogs should still have their points, even though I just imported them into Secundi. Yes, I still see Fenella on the points board.

I think I have it about the numbers. If your Shiny # changes, that's just me, you can still find them through your owner page.

Since there is no benefit of Kennel Comp points directly into the Secundi system, there is no reason why a dog can't do both that I can think of. The points are for the Kennel shop and breeding bonuses, and Secundi stats don't play into Kennel Comps. I think it'll work.

I'm not sure I understand the difference between Romulus and Remus in the Second posts examples.  They look the same to me.. both have an agency info box, with items and a link.  Clicking their links takes me to a plain white page with a picture of them and nothign else.

(Same thing for the doggies in the shiney folks have test/imported.  The agency info box, parental info if any, ribbons and items and a link to a pic of the dog on a plain white page)

I think I am missing somehting, and I appologize for it, was it, how is it suposed to work?

(re-read, and saw you said a link would be provided to continue entering the dog in the shiny.. is that what the link in the agency info box is suposed to be? cause as I said it just leads me to a pic of the dog, not to the "shiny")

That would be because I just switched Romulus to the way Remus is displayed, since we decided that's how it's going to happen.

The link in the box doesn't lead to the shiny, no, it's the image owners can use for linking off Secundi, be it the Shiny or Kennel websites. That's why it says "linking image" it's the image you link with.

And since I didn't make this clear - I am NOT doing regular imports, Silvanon does those and she's still on the prior thread's work. They are NOT open for general with passport imports.

I thought I had solved the number conflict and I was going to force import all Shiny Dogs, but then I saw there's 650 dogs in the Shiny. Until we can get the conflict resolved, probably tomorrow, please DO NOT add new dogs to the Shiny.

I would like to say, thank you very much kennel staff for working to include the old ways of the kennel to Secundi. I was planning on not importing hardly any of my Old World dogs here because I just love everything about the old way so much. I love the competitions, I love the ribbons, the champion banners, the champ packs, everything! So now I have a way to keep the things I love about the kennel and still have them here on Secundi. ^^

Edit: Also, Shimmer was my first Kennel dog and she was a CYO, so I have my own colored critter imported to Secundi!!

And yes, this is all good to know.  I too, had planned to not import hardly any of mine just yet, as I wanted to continue competing in the old way (breeding points bonuses!) lol so this news and integration (sp?) of the old within the new is very much appreciated.

It will take me some time, quite a bit maybe, to import all my "oldies" as I am leery of spending too much sg's too fast.  I do (I think) have a few import tickets though, and shall start slowly using them whenever silv gets caught up/reopens.

I really appreciate all the hard work/effort you guys are doing for us all, thank you!

1. I've changed the shiney so IDs can include a letter "s" at the end if it is a Secundi pet ID.  So, no more ID conflicts, and any dog, old or new, can be entered into the shiney

2. Because of this new update, I need more info on the dogs to be imported.  Therefor, I'm not going to do the dogs that were posted in the old thread.  Instead I'm going to ask that they be reposted here, with the new form that I'm including below.
