Announcements
-If you need something fixed in the shiny (dog changing ownership, messed up pic, etc) and you cannot fix it yourself (some pic errors can be fixed from your own page, but if you have reached the number of allowed edits, and need to fix...), please post in this thread in TEAL
-when trading, please include dog's name (in the shiny!) and number (secundi and agency ids, please), and the old owner's name.  I don't usually need all of this, but having all of it makes it easier, in case part of it is missing or wrong in the shiny >.>

I have a question.  Is there a way to search for a particular animal (by their ID #'s) in the shiney?

I traded for/bought a lot of dogs, and I 'try" to make note of where they came from, but I've been noticing on quite a few of them that I forgot to do this.  So I don't remember who the previous owner was, and have no clue if they are already entered in the shiney or not.  I originally thought to search the Dog points Page listing, but realized they can be entered into the shiney, but not be listed there if they never placed.

I've been wanting to go through and equip/enter all the dogs that aren't already done, but I've been holding off until I can get this mess I seem to have created sorted out.  So anyway, how would I go about looking up individual dogs ID's on there?

You just gave me a really good idea, Kadana.  As I go through my dogs deciding which to enter, I'm also going to update their pet pages for what they specialize in in the shiny.

Anyway, the only way you'd be able to tell if a dog was already in the shiny is either to try entering it yourself and see if it accepts the number, or (if you're lucky and got one that has previous wins) to look up the ID number via the Dog Points table.  And any dogs without champ packs will of course not be in the shiny at all.

I haven't renamed Handsome or lance, I'm not 100% sure about Buttons, but I "think" that is the name he came to me with as well.

If you don't remember who you got them from, that's fine - just give me their IDs and I can find them.  I don't know if there is a way for everyone to look for them, but I can pick through by numbers - the old owner info is for just in case there is a missing bit of info that makes it hard to find by the name or number only (especially if the name has been changed a couple times in between the original owner and the current one, but the shiny was never updated O.o)

Also, if you know the dog was imported, but doesn't have an agency ID, please mention that >.>  I know not all the dogs have the agency IDs, but knowing that it had one before will make it easier to find... hopefully >.>

Well, he has a computer already - we are in the middle of trying to figure out what is wrong with it O.o

He has the worst luck with desktops - this laptop is older than his comp, but without nearly as many problems (except that it has stopped recognizing its disk drive, and won't let me play movies, CDs or games from disc anymore >.<)

the disc problem is probably a power supply problem, I had the same issue with my old computer, we fixed it then I got a new computer (he got the old one)

Hmmm, I was wondering about that possibly being the issue - I did get a lovely email from HP telling me that my model laptop potentially had a faulty battery, and to get it checked (and if it was one of the bad ones, the would replace it for free) - still haven't actually checked it, but as I basically use my laptop as a desktop (ie - always plugged in), and it hasn't really ever been on straight battery, so the battery issue hasn't been a problem >.>

I should probably get it checked out though XD
