Dragonspyrit heads towards the next house, ready for anything. Arriving at the front door, a small squeaking sound is heard. Prepared for anything, she bravely knocks. Behind her, a small rasping noise, and suddenly a swarm of bats comes flying up around her. The kittling who had opened the container they were trapped in snickers and dashes up, sticking a paw in the candy bag looking for a goody.

Ryuukokoro knocks on a door, prepared for the worst. Monsters, spooks, or waterworks. To her suprise, right as she knocks, a giant floodlight turns on and shines right in her face. Sheilding her face with her arm, she looks around, trying to spot the danger. Too bad the ninja-kittling already made off with a bit of candy!

Midnight Phantom tries her luck at another house. Knocking on the door, there is no answer. The porch light is on, and she can see figures moving inside. So, she knocks again, a bit louder this time. Still no answer. A bit confused, she looks at shadows behind the curtains, and reaches out for the doorbell. As soon as she touches it, a jolt of electricity runs through her, and she is paralized for a moment. Little paws dig around in the candy bag while she cant move.

Ya know, Im gonna run out of story ideas if I keep this running until the end of the month lol.

Kadana walks up to her first house of the night. She notices strange contraptions, gears and rails and corkscrews. A bit confused, she rings the doorbell. When she does, a frail old voice calls from inside "be right there" but the voice doesnt cover the sound of a marble rolling along the rails. Fascinated, Kadana watches as the marble sets off chain reactions in the contraption. In the end. it gets stuck on a rail, and nothing more happens. The door finally opens, and an old woman hands her 4 bits of candy.

Ryuukokoro sees Kadana get lucky, and heads for the same house. Once again, the voice calls "just a minute" and the marble starts rolling. Watching it race along the rails, Ryu is a little bit nervouse. This whole thing looks strangly familiar. Just as her mind places where she's seen it before, a net falls from the eaves and catches her. Mouse trap. Ryu is the mouse.

sera just happens to be close enough to see Ryu get caught in the net. Unable to control herself, she falls down laughing. Unfortunately, the kittling that just stole Ryu's last bit was still close enough, and sees the helpless sera. It cant resist lifting a bit from her too.

Ryuukokoro finally gets out of the netting and heads on to try again. While walking to the next house, she spots a frog hopping along the sidewalk. A little boy has the frog on a leash. He begs ryu to kiss the frog, claiming it is a princess under a spell. Wondering why she would want to kiss a princess, even if it wasnt just a frog, ryu moves on. 

Kadana is right behind her, and comes acrost the little boy and frog next. The boy once again begs for a kiss for his poor transformed princess. Kadana is not sure how she feels about kissing a princess, but she isnt afraid of frogs, and decides it would be fun to freak out the boy by actually kissing it. Sure enough, no magical transformations happen when her lips meet green skin. The little boy, however, is absolutely amazed that she would kiss a frog, and hands her 5 bits of candy in respect.

springacres knocks on her next door. A little girl dressed as Dorothy, complete with ruby slippers, opens the door. Standing behind her are a grown woman, most likely her mother, dressed as Glenda, and a teenage girl, dressed as the wicked witch. springacres compliments them on thier matching costumes, and a smiling girl gives her 4 bits of candy.

sera finds her next house and bravely knocks on the door. In the window, she can make out the shadow of a kittling and prepares herself for the inevitable trick. The door creaks open and a kittling paw emerges, but just then, a mans voice inside the house calls out, "oh no you dont!" and he snaps the kittling up in his arms. "sorry about that" he says, handing sera a bit of candy.

Guys, go ahead and keep posting trick or treats. I will catch them all up when I get back online. My ferret is missing and I cant focus on anything else but the panic of having a loved one possible scared or hurt or worse. It wont disrupt the thread, since it was set to be a long one anyway, Ill pick up where I left off and nothing will change.

And a thought, have you tried calling the local animal shelters and pounds?  If not, you may want to do so, even if they don't have the still missing baby at the moment, if you let them know she is still missing then they can keep their ears open, and know who to contact if she gets turned in there.

done that, put her cage outside to attract her home, posted flyers, talked to all neighbors in nearly 9 blocks, posted craigslist, scoured the area with her favorite noisy toy hoping she'd hear, called vets and shelters, even have the UPS man, mailman, and local furnace man keeping an eye out. Her brother was found and returned safely (my roommate's ferret) but not mine.

I've also had a ferret go missing on me. She ended up hiding very close to the house (or under it, to be more precise) so if you have a garden or any hideaways anywhere near your house I suggest a safe squirrel trap or two near those areas. I hope you find her!

No worries, indigo, I understand completely.  Heck, I worry every time my sister's cat gets loose, and he's never failed to come back within a few hours.  Take all the time you need.  *sends hugs and prayers*

That's true, maybe you can call your local wild animal patrol and they can let you use one of their humane traps? The ones where you put food at one end and when the animal walks in to get the food, the door comes down so they're trapped? Then maybe put ferret food in there and put it near where the other ferret was found.

ok, time to try to come up with some stories again

springacres comes upon a trailor with its lights on. Thinking "why not" she goes and knocks on the door. When the woman inside, with her mumu and curlers, opens the door with a full bowl of candy in hand, a soft *click* is heard. Suddenly, a bunch of spring loaded cloth snakes bounce up from under the welcome mat. She woman shrieks, and her candy goes flying everywhere! Kittlings dash in from every side to clean up the fallen bits. One manages to slip a paw in springacres bag as well.

sera knocks on a door to a tiny white house with pink trim. A dog starts to bark and snarl from inside. She hears a mans voice, cursing and telling the dog to shaddup. He then opens the door. He is a heavy man, wearing sweatpants and a white tank top, both liberally stained with his last several meals. He holds a cigar between his teeth, and is holding the collar to a large dog who is straining and barking in an agressive manner. A little worried, sera realizes the dog is chasing off a kittling who had been sneaking up behind her! The man gives her 1 bit of candy from his bucket, and she is happy to move on.

Ember heads up to the same door sera just knocked on. She and sera smile at eachother in passing. The man hasnt closed his door yet, and the dog is still barking its head off. He loses grip on the collar, and the dog charges down the walkway. The kittling sneaking up behind Ember lets out a yowl and dashes away. Unfortunately, the dog plows right through ember after it, and manages to knock her down. She loses 1 bit of candy in the chaos.

Ryuukokoro finds 1 bit of candy. That was boring!

Midnight Phantom stops to take a break, her legs getting tired from traveling from house to house. Seeing a park bench, she sinks down on it, and indulges herself in some hot chocolate from the mug she was smart enough to bring with her. She even has some marshmallows in a ziplock bag to add to it! After warming up and resting, she stands to find the next house. Taking her first step, she ends up nose first on the sidewalk. Looking down, she sees her shoelaces are tied together! As she tries to get up, a kittling steals a bit of candy.

Fean77 sees what looks like a cave gate decorated into a house. The house owners have gone all out, putting material over the front of thier house to make the whole thing look like a giant cave, with plastic bats on strings flying around the yard. Lifting the brass knocker, he hears the knock reverberate through the house. A thin person with black skin and white hair, and violet colored contacts, wearing a soft grey cloak and a broach of a feather opens the door. He immediatly kneels and says "Vendui!" to which the woman smiles, and hands him 3 bits of candy.

Dragonspyrit walks along the sidewalk to the next house, when she hears a rucus behind her. There is a hissing and yowling noise coming from behind a bush. Fearing the worst, she steps around the bush, to startle 2 kittlings who were having an arguement. Both kittlings dash off in different directions, leaving her to gather up the 5 bits of candy they had been fighting over.

well Im far from perfect I must mess up at least 1 thing. Sinse I fixed Embers total, I had to randomly mess up someone else. Otherwise people may start to think Im "good like that" and that would be scary!

Kadana is walking up the sidewalk and trips over a crack in the sidewalk. Not a prank or anything, just simple clumsiness! But, as she lays there on the cold sidewalk feeling silly, she spies a tiny bag. It looks just the right size to have been carried by a kittling. Could they have dropped it? Opening it up, she finds 4 bits of candy. So, clumsiness pays off!

I've never really done much of this kind of thing, but my uncle was always doing stuff like this.  He got all kinds of nifty things form gag shops.

He'd get fake ice cubes, with various insects inside them.  Yer sposed to drop them in folks drinks.  At a glance, they are meant to look real.  Not good enough for him, so he wets them and freezes them, makes them really look real.. and feel real when you go fishing it out of yer drink heh

I'd say more of his hijinks, but they are rather.. nasty, uncle isn't a nice man -.-

Then again, neither am I I guess.  I do seem to recall buying itching/stinging powder, and coating the insides of all of a certain someones boxer shorts with the stuff, not to mention slipping into his bathroom and sprinkling it on/inside his roll of toilet paper.  He made me mad -.-

And, I once bought ciggerette inserts.  They are little stick things, you put them inside the cigg form the open end.  They just.. slide right in.  Sposed to stink really bad when burned, and taste awful.  I wasn't trying to be mean then though, just trying to get mom to stop smoking.  ..didn;t work heh
