I have a few snakes, between the iron cobra minis, the Lorescale Coatl Magic cards (very combo-friendly creature by the by), and the coiled... well, it's a dragon up there, but it does look snake-like. Bubbles are represented both by the soda (hidden bubbles) and the bubble wrap (hidden pun/bad joke). Parts of my calligraphy set serves to represent writing, while the cards, dice, and minis represent games. My desk lamp sheds light on the water bottle, and I have a real butterfly and a cat with butterfly wings.

And I totally forgot my name card in the first shots, so I had to re-do them. Hence why some of the below photos look different. And this might seem a little insane, because I ended up writing a (really bizarre) story for this scene as I posed all the props. Bear with me a bit. XD

On a warm summer's day, the great sage owl flew from his forest home toward the grand mountain temple, seeking enlightenment. However, the day was warm and the journey long, and he soon found himself desperately craving drink.

"Curse my folly and misfortune!" he cried. "I see my destination in reach, but I can no longer continue. Where am I to find a drink on this desolate mountainside?"



"Wise owl," a voice called from atop a tall rock outcropping. The great sage owl turned to face a butterfly... no, a butterfly-winged feline. "Here, take this water as your refreshment. I obtained it from the purest flowing springs near the mountain peak. Please, rest with me a while."



The clouds parted, and rays of bright sun shined down upon the bottle of water, as if the heavens themselves blessed this most fortunate gift.



"Wissse owl," another voice called from the rubble. The great sage owl glanced down to face a coiled serpent. "Do not wassste your time with sssuch foolishnessss. Here, take thisss cola beverage. Sssee and drink thessse bubblesss of true refreshment."

"Yesss," hissed the iron cobras slithering nearby. "Drink with usss. Relax with usss. Play gamesss of chance and ssstrategy, to take your mind off your sssuffering."



The butterfly-winged feline angrily protested, and the blue serpent responded in kind. The wise sage owl merely smiled, then raised a wing to quiet the pair.

"You are both very kind, but there is no need for argument. Your soda will provide me with quick energy to reach the temple, kind serpent. Your water will sustain me when caffeine and sugar can keep me awake no longer, kind feline. I am grateful to you both."

The bickering creatures continued to remain awestruck and silent, and the grateful wise sage owl collected his gifts, bowing to each giver in turn. When he was refreshed, he bid his new companions farewell, and everyone saw enlightenment that warm summer's day.

A waterbottle, a snake (on the snake game website!), bubbles (because everyone knows Pollywag is good with bubbles), Nintindo DS lite is full of games, and writing is not a noun, so I just picked up a bunch of my favorite books. Butterfly sillyband I stole from my sister, and the thing for light is the green froggy wallet. Understand, there is NOTHING in that wallet. It's pretty light! Teehee. I'm poooooor.

Yup. Loove pokemon. Infact, my DS has pokemon in it. I was going to grab my pokewalker, but... I decided against it. Hehe. And I guess you can't see it in the pictures, but I opened my pokemon soul silver at this desk, and the box is still right next to the computer.

Awesome. The entries are great. I feel silly, I went to watch harry potter during the events, and was on my phone the time trying to post some comments to threads, but I totally didn't see everything ended so fast! I rushed up here as soon as HP was over, and I saw I had 30 minutes left and RAN around my house looking for stuff. I had some really great ideas, but I couldn't find what I was looking for for the life of me. AND I just remembered I left something I wanted to include out. Oooooh well. It wouldn't have gone well with the entries, it would have been a stretch if it were accepted anyway.

Victoria, a semi-custom is not a full custom. You can only pick a few colors, but you can't say anything about the design. It is also frowned upon to mimic someone else's pet. If you got a pet you absolutely loved and someone else would let toffeeca color almost the same thing, wouldn't that make you sad?

I'm curious to see who won the other two contests ^^

I can say I got ac ustom pet once, paid through the teeth for it, only to turn around and see the exact same image sold again in a differnt way. (mine was plain the second was sold as a dress up critter that could have sparkles and other things placed on it)
It hurt and I was mad, considering it was one of my very highly collected critter.

We should have a poll if Toffeeca should open her own website. It would have an inventory for each member a place where people can breed pets and etc. That would be awesome! So we would not have to but are pets on our display pages.

Running your own website is very time consuming and also costs a lot of money. If she ever wants to do that I'm sure she will ask if we are interested. Until then just enjoy the events we have here.

If you would like to trade Pecora, you can go to the trading thread, post a thread just for you. In it you should say what you are looking for and what you are willing to trade.
I am going to post some trading rules on the front page.

And I am not ready to make my own website at all. I love Secundi and I cannot see the Pecora moving off here. Also, once more pets are given out there will be breeding, I just feel that we have very few out right now.

Even a very simple website that just lists owner and item records and maybe a front page story and hyperlink to Secundi can become very time-consuming, especially if you code and maintain everything by hand. If you want it looking nice (and you want your code to validate), you can't rush these things. I made the mistake of rushing my last site, and I can't look at it without cringing. I've been working on my new one for 2 months now. =)

Also, Pecora and other pets do not breed themselves. Even Wobbles and Gidgets required a lot of pre-planning and a ton of coloring before launch. I'd prefer to keep events and flatsales running as they are now than have Toffeeca take weeks out to color for automated breeding.

I say we wait until Toffeeca decides she wants to create a website, if she ever does. I think we're doing nicely on the forums, and I've been keeping track of my items and pets in a folder on my desktop. As the population grows larger, I could see an official Pecora thread in the Notary Office to keep track of everyone, but only if things start to get confusing.

1st Full custom and a idenical twin snowflake- Keilin Alyr- I love the story you made, it was just adorable.
2nd Semicustom and same gender snowflake- YLO- I really like how you hung the snake and butterflies from the waterbottle, thats something I never would have thought of.
3rd Premade and Normal snowflake- Neo- I have to give you props for using polywag, it was always one of my favorite pokemon.
4th Normal breeding snowflake- Goddesss- I love how so much of your stuff is your sons. I was also thinking of having a snake poping out of a waterbottle when I wrote up the list.

Dress up results
Although I prefer YLO's description of how a Pecora would dress up, I think that I have to chose the zebra from Victoria because I don't think I can pull off those markings.

Plus, this shop just opened. I really don't think many adoptables on this site would be likely to start their own pet site for just that pet. It's a lot of work, it's stressful, and I think this is just overall so much more fun and tons more rewarding.

I mean, if it were easy, everyone would have thier own site and no one would bother going to anyone else's site, so there wouldn't be much traffic.

I mean, it takes work, money, and there are lots of demanding people barking at you to move on this way and that way... it would be fun, but the work involved to get there and the stress... yeah.
I mean, I think pet sites like what you described are great, but I like this because you are at a more personal level with the owner and other buyers.
And realize, Toffeeca is coloring each and every one of those pecora. These are not just automatically colored like some sites. If you like pets like that, try wajas or ponyisland. There are plenty of sites that offer that.

If you, however, think it would be cool to go off and make your own site like this site or like neopets or like whatever you want, go for it. I don't suggest you copy it, but if you want to go make one yourself, that would be cool. I don't think many of the people here have time for making new sites though while they run adoptables and have lives.

Uh oh, I'm too new to Secundi to give an effective bribe, and I can't draw to save my life (as evidenced by my currently dead laptop, the one that had Paint Shop loaded on it). Umm... I can bake! I make tasty cookies, and I'm told I make awesome cheesecake. XD

I would be interested in seeing what everyone else has to offer though. =)

Also, I'm sure my multitude of crazy photos are contributing to the lag in thread loading as well, Neo. We can both be equally guilty. XD
