One of the largest races of the year, the Kentucky Derby is being held this weekend, and so, in celebration of it and our namesake, former Kentucky Derby Winner Unbridled! We've got a raffle planned, a flatsale, some general sales

Some really AWESOME Announcements! And a few updates on where I stand on linearts and commission catchups

In 1990 a lovely little bay stallion named Unbridled won the Kentucky Debry. This weekend, his grandson, Mission Impazible will run in a field of 20 others in one of the biggest races of the year. I didn't realize until after the derby last year that many of the Derby hopefuls, and some of the Derby's biggest tragedies were tied to our namesake. Eight Belles anyone? This year, he look-a-like little brother will be running, and I'll be watching with baited breath lol.

In honor of the Derby, the winner will be colored and Raffled off after the derby has ended.

COMPETITIONS!!!

Omg I've wanted to do this for like, FOREVER now :O! I've worked up a method for judging competitions that makes sense, makes it useful to breed for stats as well as color, and train your horses!

Each horse is going to start out with 5 base points in the 5 different stats. Strength, Agility, Charisma, Intelligence and Speed. For each competition you enter, you get 1 point as a training point to one of the stats relevant to the competition. Race would be Speed and Strength, Jumping, Strength + Agility, Halter, Charisma + Intelligence, and Dressage, Intelligence + Agility.

You can also breed your Competition horses for extra points, your foal gets 1 point for every 20 combined points his or her parents have. And Extra points are gotten depending on the breed,like Arab would have 1 extra point in both Charisma and Speed. So the an Arab's stats would be: Strength-5, Intelligence-5, Speed-6, Agility-5, Charisma-6. And if his parents had been competed, he'd have extra points.

Each competition would be decided by dice roll to increase or decrease chances of your horse placing so things aren't run purely by stats. So said Arab up there, competing in a halter class with other arabs, would have 11 points (Charisma+Intelligence) toward winning, while another who'd been bred or trained might have 14 points. But little basic arab up there could get a high roll, and get say an 8 for a total of 19 points, while bred and trained boy could roll a 3 and end up with only 17 points, giving our little example the win.

Formula Stat+stat+bonus from training/breed/parents+dice roll = score.

More points can be gained from training and winning the competitions too. You get 1 point just for entering the show as experience, and if you win, that's an extra point, so collecting points is fairly easy and worth the bonuses since there will be prizes ;D Pretty ribbons, accessories, Unowned horses and other pritty things :D

I'll be posting a registration form later on and creating a section in the Unbridled forums just so we can keep track of stats so you can sign up your horses for competitions and do more than just breed for and collect pretties ^_^

Monthly Commission Slots

Willow and I will start offering monthly commission slots on months where there hasn't been a breeding season. We'll open ten slots apiece for regular customs, and 2 apiece for each of our talents ;D I'll be offering hand drawn/colored ponies, and Willow will be doing unique lineart edits ;D

I'm limiting it to ten apiece to keep the workload reasonable so we have more time to work on things like Breeding season, competitions and flatsales ^_^

Dunno yet when we'll be opening the slots, but keep an eye out for them ^_^

~Unbridled Rules and Stuff you should know~

General

Boys Have Boy-parts, Girls don't lol.

Unbridled are Trade-able, you just have to let Willow or I know so we can update the cert.

Unbridled are also sentient, meaning they can talk and aren't *just* horses. (RP anyone? <___<)

Unbridled will never condone contracts, so please don't create one for your stable.

Breeding

Stallions are only able to cover 5 breedings per breeding season, any more than that and you run a chance of the mare not being covered.

Mares may only breed once per breeding season.

You Need a Rose Quartz to breed.

You may not breed Stallion to Stallion or Mare to Mare. Just not kosher, I won't do it.

Other Stones are optional for breeding but can give you nifty effects when used together. Ex Rose Quartz + Opal + Pink Sapphire = Winged Filly from fish parents.

The other stones aren't always a guarantee of what you want. You will always get a Boy from a Blue Sapphire and a Girl from a Pink Sapphire, but you could use an opal and hope for a peg but instead get a Papillio.

Foals are born as a blurred and muted shade of what they will be when they grow up, but you also cannot tell what they are until they are adults.

We reserve the right to refuse and refund a commission if necessary.

Prices are subject to change at any time to reflect market value of SG.

500k SG/$5 USD - Basic lineart, your choice of Colors, Breed and Gender
+100k SG/$1 USD - Dapples, intricate markings, minor lineart edits (ribbons, jewelry, etc)
+100k SG/$1 USD - Foal stage

1m SG/$10 USD - Love Pair

1.5m SG/$15 USD - Hand Drawn in copic markers, prismacolor pencils, or unique photoshop lineart
+$2 To have the hard copy mailed to you
+$2 Foal Stage

I'll be going with a sentimental fave XD MISSION IMPAZIBLE! Grandson of Unbridled's namesake, UNBRIDLED. Who was also the sire of Unbridled's Song, another Derby Winner and grandsire of Eight Belles and several other Derby hopefuls! I *might* be excited about the derby this weekend :x

Derby wise, Dood! You should really come to louisville if you really want to celebrate it, Two weeks in advance, Kicks off with Thunder over Louisville which is said to be one of the largest fireworks displays in North America. (Granted I doubt it, but the show lasts about half an hour) There's hot air balloon races, and balloon glows (Much love for the glows) Steamboat races (Seriously we have a paddle wheel in Louisville) Much love for that Belle. OH YEAH! My favorite event, The Pegasus Parade. This year was kinda eh, but there were a lot of horse teams (No Budweiser Clydesdales though, the Wells Fargo horses were out in force!) AND OMG! Friesians! They're epic love <3

And OMG! I forgot all about Torando. O.O How in the blue fuzzle plushie could I forget about his epic awesome love?

XD Utay is made of win as is Seafoam *pokes examples* They alls be up there. And My Goodness! I'm sucha Gem Hoarde =D

As for the Derby itself. My pick goes to Conveyance. Not the greatest with the odds, but he's a real stunner with his flashy grey coat, and my exacta I'd soo put him with the filly, Devil May Care. *grins* Haven't picked the winner since FuPeg won XD My niece though has picked the winner the past three years.
