Poupou

Forgot to put the fee suggestion to my post, I added it right now. :)

Ravvana

I think Marie should have all her health gems now. Moving on to Sasha :)

Care Post
Horse: Sasha
Sasha has been rather grumpy and mean since she arrived, but who can blame her? She is thin as a post, so my first job has been getting her weight up. The vet has been carefully monitoring her process; he says that she is starting to look better, although she still makes a fuss whenever either of us approach her. Her health is my first priority, but soon I'll need to start work on socialization.

Horse:Strawberry Fligh
My girl is doing wonderfully under saddle, ive now got her walking & trotting witha  weighted saddle on lunge. I must say im quite proud of her as a draft type horse shes a elegant mover im thinking she could be a star pleasure or dressage horse!

Care Post
Horse: Reina
I decided to give Reina a really thorough grooming today.  I pulled out all the tools in my kit and set to work.  I didn't quite go so far as to shine up her hooves, but I did do everything right down to wiping her coat afterwards with a damp towel to remove the last of the dust.  I combed out and pulled her mane so that it lays flat against her neck and groomed her tail and braided it to keep it tidy.  She was positively glowing when I finished with her.  I turned her out and she promptly went out and found the biggest, darkest mud puddle and rolled in it, then got up, looked at me and cocked one ear as if to say, "What are you looking at?"

Care Post
Horse: Bella
Care: Today I wanted to take Bella out for a walk.  I put her halter on and went outside.  As we were walking by the river, a fox appeared and startled her.  She started kicking and it took me a couple of minutes to calm her down, but now before she hit a wooden fence.  She somehow managed to scratch herself on a nail, making her bleed.  At first sight, it looked a bit deep, like a puncture wound, so I instantly took her back to her stall.  Luckily, my vet was at the ranch to look at my other horses so he took at look at it.  He said it was not too deep and proceeded to flush it with sterile saline, put antibiotics in the wound and then wrapped it with bandages.  He also gave her a shot of antibiotics for good measure and told me to keep her inside while she was healing and to check the wound daily and let him know if there were any changes.  She was really calm during the whole thing, but didn't like the shot at the end.  I gave her some sweets I had bought the day before to make up for the bad day she just had.
All in all, everything ended being fine, but I'm still glad the vet was around to help me.

Scullisto

Care Post
Horse: Banshee
Banshee began lunging traing and basic halter ettiquette today.  I have decided to groom her AFTER the work outs to see if that gentles her attitude with me and the other horses she is with.  She is almost done with her antibiotic regiment and the sounds in her lungs from the cough have all but disappeared.

indigowulf

for the record, ive seen some of you give candy to a horse with almost full health, or give candy to horses and continue to care for them. In these cases, I didnt give candy yet. Reminder- candy fills a horse to 100% healthy! you can go from 0 to 5 gems with 1 candy! Ill let people tell me if they still wish to use candy on mostly healthy horses, until then they are still in your inventory.

Horse:Starwberry Flight

We did a trail ride today, i had starwberry follow along behind us. She was of course attached to a lead but she did wonderfully with her "feed sack" rider. She didnt try to buck or throw a fit under saddle, i do believe she will be wonderful star adult!

indigowulf

My guest who was here for about a week has gone home now, so Ill be getting back to focusing on these. Breeding is still open. Same deal, please post a suggested price for breeding when you post your breeding, that is your fee (making a suggestion, not what you suggest lol)

After these get done, I think it's time to play with some fishies, what do you all think?

SweetCaroline

Can I edit my suggestion into my breed post or do I repost all together? And Fisshhhieees Yess!

YourLoveOnly

I would really like to see the adoptable haven breedings finished up too and after that I'm okay with whatever event you decide to do, don't really have a preference ^^

red_uni387

feeshies <333 I've been hoping for another spawning season, to get closer to my glass feesh goal :D

indigowulf

Ill answer them in order-

As long as there is a posted suggested fee for future breedings, it doesnt have to be in the same post. But anyone who doesnt post a suggested fee wont get thier breeding, its been up plenty of time for everyone to see and post.

Working on the adoptable haven things now. Thought I had them caught up, didn't remember there was another round of postings. 2 breedings and a couple namings left there then all done.

Feeshies coming soon as these foals are ready :) I think Ill have spawning season last about 2 weeks. Im still hoping agencies aplications will open. Right now, gallery lags so bad when fish seasons are active that people get errors (including me) and cant see fish. Once we have thier genetic codes somewhere that doesnt do that, it will be easier to have season for them.

indigowulf

*nod* if it's posted, consider it done for the sake of breedings, ect. Dont wait on my actually getting it done. Ive been Lady Slackalot this last week or so cuz of company. I have a to-do list, and its on it. Also on my to-do list is double checking for anything I missed :)

indigowulf

Ok here's my list of who has suggested payment for future breedings:

quyllur- 75k to 100k
poupou- 150K-200K
kadana- 20 to 50k
sweetcaroline- 20 to 50k
springacres- 20-50k
Ravvana- 30K - 50K
red_uni- 40K
YLO- 20K - 50K
Spixy- 50K - 100K

If you havent suggested, you cannot breed. Also, if your horses are below 2 health gems, the vet will flat out refuse to allow you to breed.

Working on the 8 breedings I have so far.

Remember, if you dont have a match for your horses that you brought, you can always put them up for freebreed! Freebreeds make foals that will be given out in free events!

What we have coming so far, according to random.org:

Oriel X Diva- Breach birth, normally -2 to mare and foal. Vets jump into action, each only loses 1. colt. Chestnut snowflake sabino-hotblood

Galahad X Ember- Stallion bites mare. Normally -1 to mare, but a quick moving intern caught his nose just before he got a grip, preventing harm. filly. chestnut tobiano -warmblood

Carmello X Darke- vets refuse to breed 2 horses in such sickly condition (and you didnt post suggested breeding fee?)

Hummer X Kyouki- smooth sailing- filly Palomino roan sabino -coldblood

Pistachio X Angela- stillborn foal, vets jump into action and provide emergency CPR. After about 3 minutes, the tiny colt coughs and begins to move. The vets and interns struggle to resist cheering so they dont startle the already stressed horses. mare -1 and colt -3 (normally this would just be a stillborn, but that's impossible this round!) Smokey Perlino Tobiano -coldblood

Donatello X Sparkle- stressfull birth. Normally mare -2, but IV fluids and care make it -1. Colt. Grey Dun Roaned Paint-mini

Sean X Rayna- stallion kicks mare. Normally -1 to mare, but a smart vet had placed the horses in such a way that the kick missed. Filly. Dun -coldblood

Pistachio X Come Clearity- smooth sailing. Colt. Tobiano Blanket Appy Sooty Buckskin -coldblood

Cream X Frozen Orb- smooth sailing. Colt. White -coldblood

We got a lot of boys this time! While the mares lick thier foals clean and nurse them in a quiet stall, Ill go get pictures of them (aka color them up)

indigowulf

The interns are coming out with reports of what the babies look like. They are still a bit nervouse about letting you in to see your babies, with some of the birthings being so stressfull.

(aka, im posting the genetics as I roll them, so you get a sneak idea before Im done coloring)

indigowulf

I'd like to point out that this is ID 100!

you may wanna reconsider Galahad's carrot.. I mean come on, look at the cutey he gave ya!

indigowulf

Ok, I need to go grocery shopping for the next couple weeks, I predict Ill be gone for about 2 hours, then I shall return and get back to coloring foals!

red_uni387

quyllur

He's very cute!  I only have one question, I bred two Warmblood's, a chestnut tobiano and a buckskin, how did I end up with an appaloosa, sabino, hotblood?

indigowulf

Because I cant read my own writing, and my w looked like an h, so when I rolled between mother and "fathers" breeds, I rolled the "h" that was actually a w and didnt realize my mistake.

As for the genetics, those are things the parents passed down. You can't always tell what they carry :) Your mare is actually coded as a chestnut sabino appaloosa, and your stallion as a sealpoint. Since they were from real pics, I did my best to match thier images with genetics. BTW, since it's not a spoiler at this point, your Sabino is also appy, I threw that in for fun, since it doesnt change her mostly white appearance :)

I can go re-color him as a warmblood if you want, or we can say he had some hotblood in his ancestory that passed on if you like the way he is now. My mistake, your choice.

springacres

I don't see my breeding up there?  *cough*eventhoughIknowminewascoloredalready*cough*

Yours is 1 page back, happened earlier then the rest cuz I got it just before my friend got here lol. Unless you're looking for the genetics the ranch workers think she has?

Blue taffy blanket appy

eta: oops, not blue taffy, she doesnt have visable dapples, so she's technically a choco flax blanket appy. Not a genetic discrepancy, just descriptive.

indigowulf

Hummer X Kyouki- smooth sailing- filly Palomino roan sabino -coldblood

quyllur

I'll keep him the way he is, no problemo.  Like I said, he's quite cute.

indigowulf

Ok, again, so sorry for the mistake.. I need to start doing this on lined paper and not make teeny tiny notes.

if it makes it better, the adult form matches the baby perfect, Im so proud of it. Down to the number and location of each little snowflakey spot :D

*lol* Ah, I see it now XD  Epic fail on my part!  (I knew you'd colored her cause I saw her in my owner folder, just must have missed you posting her in the thread lol!)

ETA: And quyllur, I shall be stalking that new little boy for future breedings. XD

The ranch workers come out for kadana, worried expression on thier faces. "The head vet would like to see you." they say.

Walking into the barn, you can just see a handsome colt standing next to Angela. He looks shaky on his legs, and keeps coughing. The vet pulls you aside and tells you he is worried the colt wont make it through the night. He's done all he can, and will be here through the night, but Angela seems fairly upset for almost losing her foal, and he isn't getting the ever-important first milk because she wont settle down and nurse.

Wiping his brow, he asks you how close your bond is with the mare. Perhaps you can calm her, so she can care for the new colt?

(hint- you can give the baby candy!)

red_uni387

indigowulf

He actually rolled up as a stillborn. I ruled in my notes before I started this, that all things cost 1 less gem, which means he struggled through with 1 gem of life. I decided to be nice and not take that -1 that all babies get at birth, because that would just be cruel from 2 100% healthy parents.

I think, after this, that I will make it where foals lose a minimum of 1 health gem (so they can be born with no more then 4) but that if theres any problems with the birth, they dont lose an additional gem. Part of why Im doing this first round of freebies, to see how things pan out.

Care Post
Horse: Myst

I entered Myst's stall, moving quietly and slowly so as not to startle her or her beautiful foal.  She is a very good mother, and I didn't want her protective side to come out.  I checked her over, feeling for any tenderness or swelling in her teats and making sure there was no unusual discharge after the birth.  From what I could tell, there were no signs of infection and Myst appeared to be healing quite well, so I proceeded to groom her as thoroughly as she would let me.

She definitely enjoyed the curry brush; I could hear her grunting softly as my hand moved in circles against her coat, massaging the skin and helping her muscles relax.  Anticipating that she would still be sore, I was gentler than usual around her hindquarters, and she definitely appreciated that.  A once-over with the soft brush, combined with a carrot treat for her, had my Myst looking beautiful and dirt free...at least until she decides to roll!

Care Post:
Horse: Angela
Slipping quietly over to the poor tired mare I gently run my hands down the side of her neck, and reach up to lightly rub between her ears.  Murmuring soothingly to her I rest my head against her briefly, offering her quiet comfort as we both watch the beautiful colt crunch his candy.

I think I remember were allowed to do a care post as well as a candy.. if I remember wrongly, please ignore the care post.  Also, wanted to say thank you, he is beyond beautiful and I love him to bits!

If you're wanting names now, I'll be naming him Houston.

Ooh, she is beautiful! *snuggles foal* I would love to name her Nakoda <3

Poupou

Ohhhh so so SO cute!  They all are! ^.^

I'm sorry, I kinda disappeared for a little while being busy elsewhere on the vast internet, so I'm kinda off the loop for this thing.  What would be the fee?  What we suggested? Or?

Just so that I can go ahead and send it! ^_^

Oh and please, name her : Maiko

LOVE HER! :D

No fee silly- the fee was to make a suggestion for future breedings :)

Oooh my lord! He's beautiful! *snugs*

I'd love to name him: Kazuko

Horse: Sparkle

I go in to see how Sparkle is doing after her birthing. I talk softly to her as I approach & tell her what a beautiful young boy she has. I stroke her neck trying to calm her down after the stressful birth she has just given & try to let her know it will be ok. I stay with her for awhile, just talking to her & watching the colt as he nurses & then he rests beside his mother. I offer her a nice juicy apple & decide she should stay with the interns at least for a day or 2 to make sure everything is ok. I stroke her neck softly for awhile more before heading home & promise her that she & her new baby can come home soon.

I would like to name the colt Captain.
