I'm bringing these two :D

As for fair breeding.. I don't know.. something between 150K-200K maybe? >.>
It's a bit on the pricey side though, I have to admit. XD

But yeah, if I was richer, I would have no problems paying that. :)

Care Post
Horse: Bella
Since Bella is still new to our ranch, I am trying to make the transition from the Rescue as easy as possible for her and the other horses.  I put her in the paddock this morning for the first time and she seemed to enjoy it quite a lot.  From what I could see, that pony loves to run around.  She seemed fairly calm around the other horses.  Overall, she seems to be adjusting very well.  It makes me really happy to see that.

indigowulf

springacres- Im a twit.. Im not sure how on earth I managed to put the actual egg on your owners page instead of the candy *scratches head and watches egg spin* But I went ahead and used the candy on Carnage for you, you can still bring him if you wish, since you already posted you planned to.

I'm bringing my mare in as well, to play dam for someone who *does not have a mare of thier own*. You'll have to find a willing stallion still.

springacres

Oh, goody :)  Here comes Carnegie as well, then!  He's available for anyone who does not have a stallion of their own!

I would like to give a piece of candy to Ashe, and another to Adagio please.

I'll bring Ashe in if he gets well in time.

I'd love a coldblood stallion to stud for Angela.

Care Post
Horse: Gypsy Rose
With her adult status reached Gypsy will be having her hooves trimmed, full grooming, and entry into a more advanced halter training including lunge line to build mutual trust and physical health. She is already a gentle horse, but I feel she can really excel in the ring if trained correctly.

*edit
Could I use my candy on Gypsy today?

Care post
Horse: Frozen Orb
Care: Today Frozen Orb was let out in the paddock for the first time since she arrived and she absolutely loved it. I let her stay out for a couple of hours and when I went to fetch her, she was completely covered in mud and dirt from having rolled and rolled, but boy did she glow! She came along quietly and once inside I spoiled her with a long wash, groom and relaxing massage. I don't think she has ever been more happy.

Scullisto

Care Post
Horse: Rain Drop
Rain Drop has been groomed walked and had one last check from both the vet and farrier.  Although she is shy, she is coming along nicely tolerating human touch.  She was walked today with Gypsy and she didn't seem to mind her towering over her, so now that she is clear on her health, Rain will be let into the pature with Gypsy and Beyla.

Before i enter in this breeding season love, i was wondering when my little foal will grow. I notcied most of the others did i didnt know if i needed to name her for her to grow or what. :D

She needs a name and her first care post after 3 days (before 3 days is too early to grow :) )

I hope everyone is getting a good idea who they wish to breed with whom, I'll be posting the form for the actual breeding very soon! (as soon as I catch up yesterday/today's care posts)

Tribe

Okay  :D

Give me a few and ill name her, then i need to wait three days and post her first care post correct?

Ill be bringing my minis only this time around :)

Hunni

springacres

If her health meter is low, I would do a care post right away after you name her, and once a day thereafter until it gets fully green, regardless of when she's grown up :)

Care Post

Horse: Farina
It was rather cold and rainy out today so I made Farina a nice hot mash and pulled out her new purple rain sheet and put it on her.  The sounds she made while she slurped up her breakfast were hilarious and she looked rather striking in her blankie!

indigowulf

You've had your foal for more then 3 days. Just needs a name and 1 care post to grow :)

The 3 days only really exists so you can get to see them as babies, and save thier baby pic if you wish to.

Care post
Horse: Frozen Orb
Care: Orb was very relaxed this morning, so I decided to do a bit of groundwork with her. We went into the hall and I lunged her for around 60 mins. After the lunging we went back into the stable and I gave her a quick wash, equipped a blanket and let her out in the paddock for a few hours. Meanwhile I mucked her stall and cleaned her equipment. Then I went to fetch her and gave her a long and good groom before feeding her.

Tribe

Oh okay then.

I have a quick question, every time we post a care post our horse gains a gem "if" its deemed okay correct? I posted when the vet was in and the post's counted as double so i think guiding light should have two more gems then he does..or am i missing something..which i totally possible with my scatter brain.

Kadana Sorano

Breeding Fee Suggestion:  20 to 50k.

If there is no items required to purchase to breed them, then I'd go to the higher side of the range.

If there are no items or what not to get, to try and ensure no still births, or to try and ensure twins etc, then I wouldn't personally want to go more then the 50k to breed.

It leaves it realistic that way (with the no guarentee's and such), which is nice.  But on the other hand, I wouldn't want to pay much more then that, if there is a chance, however small, that I wouldn't get a baby back.

He does have 4 gems. The only time a post isnt "ok" for gem is if the person posting it was clearly just doing the least possible to try to get a gem instead of actually caring for it (like: i brush my horse)

Kadana- good point. What about a refund if there is no foal?

Ravvana

Care Post
Name: Marie
I turned Marie out in the pasture with Sean today, since he is the most easy-going of my horses. She trailed him around like a puppy all day, and I believe even he started to get fed up with all the love and affection ;) I brought Marie back in the barn to sleep, as that makes it easier to give her the special feed she needs. She is definitely a very sweet little girl.

Kadana Sorano

A refund if there is no foal, would leave me much more inclined to pay more to breed yes.

We cant buy candies can we? id love for all my babies to have full gem bars before i breed them.

Candies are strictly event items. I have different colored wrappers for christmas and halloween too :)

Care Post
Horse: Banshee

Banshee's cough has cleared up, but her antibiotics run for the remainder of the week,  she is getting better with handling and like the others will be let into the paddock with the herd.  Her leading is doing well and our walks have been increasing with everyday.  Once she is 100% she will begin lunging lessons and halter traing.

Ravvana

Care Post
Horse: Marie

Marie seems to have all the makings of a regular Houdini; she somehow managed to get her stall door unlatched last night. As she's still just a foal - and a Mini, no less - it is a complete mystery to me as to how she accomplished this. Luckily, she already considers this home, and she didn't wander off. She did get into a jar of horse cookies, though, and seems to have a bit of a tummy ache as a result. The vet checked her over and said she should be fine by tomorrow, though.

Care Post

Horse: Alvaro
The vet came out to visit Alvaro today.  He got his annual shots and the vet checked his teeth and his overall health.  He prescribed a vitamin supplement for Alvaro to improve his coat and feet but said that otherwise, he was a healthy boy!

I have company all week this week, but Im posting this now, and will be doing babies during quiet times.
You can still bring in more horses if you dont already have 4 at the breeding arena. There are stalls available.

Please remember, cross breeding is allowed, the foal will be classified by body type it matches. Mini's cannot breed with anything but other mini's for obvious reasons.

Free breed means you are allowing a horse who is not matched up with a partner to be taken by an intern and matched with a ranch horse. You have no idea what the matched horse will be or look like. Foals from free breeds will be given out in free events. You can enter to win any foal, but things get chaotic, and nobody will know what foal came from what parent (ie, foals from free breed dont count as offspring of thier parents for purpose of limited lines or inbreeding or recordkeeping)

Dont forget- the breeding fee this time is to suggest a breeding fee for future use!
Suggested breeding fees:
quyllur- 75k to 100k
poupou- 150K-200K
kadana- 20 to 50k
sweetcaroline- 20 to 50k

Dont forget to post your suggested breeding fees guys!

Also, Im going to be extremely slow doing this because my friend is visiting this week. We stayed up til 3 AM last night playing Munchkin. I'm so naughty lol.

springacres

Breeding fee suggestion: I agree anywhere from 20-50k sounds reasonable.

indigowulf

After a long night, the first mare gives birth. A gaggle of happy interns comes out, proudly leading a healthy baby warmblood filly for Springacres. The filly looks around, bright eyes and curious, as her mother stands a few paces behind, protectively watching but relaxed and tired.

It was a long and stressful birthing, and Myst loses 1 health gem (would have been 2 but for the watchfull interns!) Ace and Myst got along fine this time, no kicking or biting.

indigowulf

Announcement, if you are trying to breed a horse with only 1 health gem, the vets will not allow this until they have at least 2 gems. If 2 horses with a single gem were to breed, they could have a stillborn foal and possibly require emergency treatment.

QuoteHow is the new foals health determined?:
(Mother's gems + fathers gems) /2 then minus 1 and anything from rough birth. So, an easy birth from fully healthy parents will result in a foal with 4 health gems.

Vets being present does NOT change how the foals starting health is determined, so 2 sickly horses will likely have a stillborn foal.

Ravvana

Breeding form-

Stallion name: Sean
Stallion owner: Ravvana
Mare name: Rayna
Mare owner: Ravvana
Who gets foal?: Ravvana

Somewhere between 30k and 50k would be fair. I would like a refund if no foal is born, however.

quyllur

I posted my suggestion in my initial post about which horses I brought into the arena, is that ok?

Horse: Rain Drop

Today before workout, I saw Rain playing with Gypsy, she is coming out of her shell and is starting to get a sparkle in her eye.  She is still a little warey of people but that is to be expected.  Grooming and bath went well as did our first full lunging workout. Rain is easy going and obediant but also is easily distracted by butterflies and other pretty things and she loses track of her tasks.

Ravvana

Care Post
Horse: Marie
Marie is starting to look bigger; she won't be a foal for much longer. I decided to make today a "girl bonding" day, so I pampered her with a lengthy groom and a bath. I then turned her out with Mandy. She pranced around for about five seconds before finding a muddy patch and rolling. This resulted in another bath; I don't think she found the process as enjoyable the second time around, although she was still patient.
