Question?

In our daily care threads can we include more than one horse or does each horse require a different paragraph or different thread completely?

indigowulf

Because you must dedicate your time and energy, you can only care for 1 horse per day.

I'm planning something that will be special events only- a vitamin sweet treat that can be given to a horse to completely fill its health meter. They can be held on to until you use them, traded, ect. and using one won't count for that days care post, so you can still care for another horse.

These are in the planning stages. Im hoping to have them available by easter (in a plastic egg hunt!)

Scullisto

No worries ...I wil start working on a rotation schedule for my girls.  Thank you indigo.

Care Post
Horse: Melody
Care:I called the vet to come out to give Melody her check up & imunizations. Melody was a bit nervous at first but after I talked to her for awhile & stroked her mane she calmed down. The vet gave her her check up & imunizations & said the wound where the warbles had been was healing up nicelly. After the vet left I treated Melody with an apple & turned her out into her pasture for awhile.

Care Post
Horse: Bella
Care: Today I am getting a new horse.  Or I should say pony.  So I went to Horse Rescue to pick her up.  I called my Vet on the way so we would meet there and take a look at the mare I was going to buy.  I saw her right after we arrived.  She was standing there in the paddock, looking around and frolicking.  She seemed pretty happy to run around.  I smiled and looked at the Vet, saying : "Well, she looks pretty healthy, don't you think?".  To which the Vet nodded to say yes.  We decided to bring her back inside the stable to take a look at her and give her all her immunizations and shots.  The Lady from the Rescue also informed us she had been started on a deworming treatment this morning so I took notes of that and so did the vet.  After getting to the conclusion that my new little mare was healthy enough to be moved, we loaded her up.  At first she didn't want to get in, but I managed to bribe her with delicious apples.  I think for the first night I will put her in isolation so she can get used to her surroundings for the first night/day and then we'll see where we go from there tomorrow.

Care Post
Horse: Diva
The farrier came out to give Diva's feet a trim, a nice mustang roll, and to fit her for new renegade boots.  The boots will protect her feet over rough terrain while they gradually harden up so that she can go barefoot all the time.  He advised me on adding different textures to the paddocks to give Diva's hooves a chance to get used to different types of footing.

Scullisto, I love both of the brown eyed pups. Put either of those up for me please, whichever one you are less inclined to keep :)

Care Post
Horse: Melody

Care:When I went out to see Melody today I cleaned her wound, or rather the spot where it had been. You could barely tell she had the hole in her it was healing so nice. I took her out to the meadow & walked beside her talking to her as we walked. Just spending time with her to strengthin our bond. After we had our walk I let her in the pasture for awhile while I went to tend to Sparkle. Soon they should be able to be in the pasture together & hopefully they will become good friends. When I brought her back in for the night I made sure she had plenty of fresh hay & clean water. I gave her her apple before leaving her. She seems to like the big red ones.

Care Post
Horse: Rain Drop

Rain Drop's first day was spent grooming, clipping, bathing to familiarize herself with human contact.  The rub down showed a gentle patience with this mare, but her fear is still quite noticable and will have to move slowly as to not spook her.  Beyla was excited to have friends again and has been nickering for the new horses to come play with her.  Rain Drop seems open to the invites, but it will be a little time before I throw them all together.

Care Post
Horse: Banshee
Banshee arrived with a bit of a cough and I would like the vet to trat that ...just in case.  This first day was spent grooming, bath/brush and hoof trimming.  Banshee will need a little work on muscle tone but for the most part, she is in decent shape.  She shies away when a hand nears her head and I feel she has a little nipping problem...her and Beyla will have to hash out herd dominance once Banshee is ready to go into the same paddock as the other two ponies.

Care Post
Horse: Shiro
The farrier came out today to trim Shiro's feet.  He was totally relaxed and didn't even mind when the farrier removed a stone lodged between the shoe and the frog.  He even balanced his weight so the farrier wouldn't have a hard time lifting his feet up.

Today is dedicated to coloring and coding premade horses for the next event. About to hit generals on PI as well, so Im gonna be busy busy!

*sheesh* I may need to hire staff for adoptable haven things or they wont get enough love.

Scullisto

Care Post
Horse: Gypsy Rose
Gypsy's first day is much like the other new comers, bath grooming etc. except for one small difference, halter training first.  We worked hard for some time getting used to the halter, and not being afraid of this new thing, but she is getting the hang of it.  Gypsy is very lonely and I feel may have been away from her mother longer than I fear and her manners are not so good so I am puttin her in the same corral as Beyla, who also has been lonely and is kinda bossy.  Beyla can then focus her bossiness onto the foal instead of me.  Even though Gypsy is a draft foal, Beyla accepts her right away, almost like a new mom would.  Beyla is going to help with disiplining, herd ettiquette and manners for her new giant baby.

Happy Easter!!

I was getting ready to hide all these easter eggs, when my pets stole them and ran off to play with them. There are 2 dozen eggs. They look something like this:

There are 5 colors of eggs.

You may find 1 egg per day. Just post I found one on (petsname)! in purple!

These are plastic eggs. What could be inside?

eta: to be nice, they are not on any wobbles or gidgets.

I am such a special ed student today.....*sigh*
:)

indigowulf

Opening your eggs, you find inside a small wrapped candy. These candy are sweet enough to make your horse happy, and packed with enough vitamins to make them healthy.

Using one of these candies will raise your horse to max health! They do not take your daily care post, because feeding candy only takes a moment. So, you can care and feed unlimited candy on the same day.

Oh, and yes, they can be traded/sold/kept until used.

Scullisto

I actually found one!

I found one on Callie!

Ok, so this will be as close to a franken as I get.. it will be done a little different. rather then have people say "white socks" or "black hair" ect, Ill have you say yes or no to catagories. You dont know what you're saying yes or no to! Once I have all the specifications for the "franken", Ill go look in the barn and find a horse that matches, and random.org will decide a winner from all the entrants. You cannot answer twice in a ROW but you can answer twice if someone answers between yours.

First question (an actual question) Mare or stallion?
