Announcement/News Post

With it now being much easier to trade dogs between users, it has brought up the complication of dogs being listed under the wrong owner in the Shiny's database.

If you trade dogs through the secundi system, check with the original owner to see if the dog has been competing already.  If they are already in the Shiny, please post in the most current competition thread to have the owner name changed in the shiny.

If the prior owner is unavailable, or doesn't know, include the dog's ID number or numbers, if it has an agency ID as well, and the previous owner's name, and I will check for you.

If the dog has not been entered in the Shiny before, enter it as normal.

Regarding Entry Fees
Entry fee: 500 SG per dog, per comp
For this month's competition, I am trying something new.
If you do not send your entry fees by the time the BIS is run, you forfeit any winnings your dogs may earn.
The lack of entry fees became a prooblem on PI; on several occasions, one of the staff had to dip into her personal funds in order to pay the prize money to everyone, and I do not want that to become a habit here.  This is just for this month, for now.  I also don't want to have to rely on good samaritans to make up the extra entry fees; while very nice, and generous, it is not fair.

Oh! website says kennel bling account, so Im hoping thats correct, sent equip there.

Im sending my entry fee half at a time. I have 5 dogs signed up now, sending fee now so I dont forget. the others, im not sure if they will be ready in time. If they are, ill send thier fee once I have them entered.

would you prefur I cancel the partial fee and do one transaction if I get them ready in time, or is 2 transactions ok? I just dont want to cause confusion or extra work.

@springacres - what items do you have there that need to be moved?  most can be used directly from the locker, just tell whoever is doing the equip, breed, or tag where the item is.  I'll check on that though

@SweetCaroline - what is your account name there?  I have several pending activations, but I do not recognize any of the names.

Secundi dogs can compete, use their secundi image as the URL, and their system ID as their number.  Full instructions are on the website, under the Competing tab

Is there a reason it will only let me add 1 dog to the Kennel Dog account or is my poor baby broken? Keep getting error message when I try to add him.

Instructions for equipping items are on the Items page of the Kennel website.

If the dog has never had a pack, wait for it to be equipped.

If the dog had a pack equipped before it was imported, and the pack was not brought over at the same time, check out Taru's Kennel helps thread in the Help forum (which I see CutieePiee has beaten me to).  The dog is still eligible to compete, as it had a pack, but the image is missing.  It might be easier in general for you to wait until it has been fixed though.

Ok, I can tell you how to fix that!  He is one of the early dogs on Secundi, so he gets a number conflict with a dog already in the comp system.  When you add him in, put his ID# as 410s

That should let you enter him
