Welcome to the shelter! Here you will find a variety of mutts and moggies looking for loving forever homes. Just because they aren't purebreds doesn't mean they are any less amazing! These are some of the sweetest critters you'll ever meet <3 Will you come and adopt one today?

Adoption Process
Once upon these babies had loving homes before they ended up at the shelter. We really want them to find a forever home this time. To help with that we asked an animal behavior expert to analyze all the pets. Dogs are tested on their friendliness, playfulness, energy level, motivation and drive. Cats are assessed based on level of interest in play, exploring, "talking," and being the center of attention. We've divided them in three colors, each color having three subcategories.

We will be using a survey to determine what type of pet will fit into your lifestyle. Please fill one out to adopt a pet. There are no right or wrong answers! Simply answer what applies to you. If no answer is quite right then pick the closest match. You can't leave a question blank.

After that it's up to you! We will check over your answers and give you a subcategory that matches you and your lifestyle. Move into our shelter and meet the mutts/moggies! It is up to you to select one to take home You can adopt one that matches your subcategory without any trouble (i.e. post the image of the one you want), but we're confident other subcategories of the same color can be a good fit too. If you thought it through and decide to do that, just let us know (i.e. along with the pet's image you must write a little RP blurb of why you chose this pet and you can take home a pet of matching color but wrong subcategory).

((For thematic reasons all pets are up for bid instead of us transferring them over, this way the pet will have a sales history showing their previous home in our shelter!))

Purple adopters are perfect for kitties who need time and encouragement to adjust to their new surroundings. Purple cats seek affection, are pretty quiet and tend to stay out of trouble.














Orange adopters are a good fit with the quintessential companion kitty. Orange cats put the good in "good company."

18.   It's most important to me that my dog... Be good with really young children, i.e a new born baby. Not be so much a "guard" dog, but an "alert" dog is fine. Play. I love to rough house (not too rough), and i enjoy running around playing with sticks with dogs, so a dog that has enough energy to run around and fetch is great. But not so much energy that she is required to have a huge field to play in, because of where i live, she will be inside most of the time, and when she goes out, it has to be on a leash.... Mostly I want a companion that can tell when i'm upset and will do his/her best to make me feel better. A cuddly dog i awesome, not necessarily ALL the time, but sometimes is nice.

Walking through the kennels to the section I've been told I'll find a good match for a dog I glance side to side at the sad pups waiting for thier forever home. I notice this pup as I stride by but after a few more steps I stop, compelled to go back to him. I stand and look at him for a moment before crouching down and talking quietly to him. After a moment he approaches and I let him sniff at my hand. Slowly his tail begins to wag. I think I've found an instant connection with this pup and I would love to give him the home he needs.
