Update from River

Well I know it's been awhile. I had been checking Secundi every week for awhile but it was just so depressing seeing it still so dead. It's nice to see that it looks like people are slowly starting to come back though!

A lot has happened to me since I was last on here...I moved in with my boyfriend and his family in August (we met Christmas Day 2015). I'm still working on finishing my high school online, but it's going way slower than I had originally anticipated. Mainly because I'm just soooo busy with other things.

Nick (my boyfriend) has brought a lot of happiness and joy to my life since we met. He's stuck with me through some of the craziest things...and near the beginning of February this year, I decided it was time to take it a step forward, and I proposed. I haven't had much time to do any sort of planning or anything, but I'm still super excited and happy.

I also started working a new job in October, thanks to Nick's mom. She talked to her boss for weeks trying to get them to hire me. So, I work at a preschool now! =D I still plan on going to school to be a vet, so I know I'll eventually be leaving my current job, but I really love working there. My coworkers can be a little annoying and crazy sometimes but that's going to be the case pretty much anywhere. Working with kids is definitely worth dealing with all the special people I have to work with. Plenty of times I've went in to work in a bad mood, and come home in a good mood.

About three weeks ago, I went in to the ER with a fever of 105. Yes, 105, not 100.5. I was so out of it that I didn't even know where I was at first or what was going on. At one point, my fever reached almost 107, and I kept asking everyone where I was. Turned out I had a really bad kidney infection. Almost to the point of kidney failure. It was the scariest thing I'd ever gone through, and I don't think I could have gotten through it a sane woman if Nick hadn't been there with me. I ended up staying in the hospital for a whole week. They found plenty of other things wrong with me...my spleen was enlarged, I had both a kidney infection AND a bladder infection, my blood pressure was dangerously low, I was super dehydrated, and they also found gall stones. They ended up doing 2 x-rays, an MRI, an ultrasound, they pumped me full of IV fluids and antibiotics, and I barely got to eat anything at all because they kept wanting to do more tests. On the 3rd, I went in for surgery and had my gallbladder completely taken out. I was in so much pain afterwards, and I was told not to go back to work for 2 whole weeks. Which was fine with me because I didn't even want to move after I got home to my nice squishy bed. Lol

So, that's pretty much my life since I was last on here. I really want to start coloring again, but I'm wary, because after I go back to work next week I will have little to no time to keep up with all this stuff. So for now I will probably just lightly participate in events and hopefully one day I can start coloring Masayo and my wolves again.

WOW! o.o That's a lot going on, Riverwind! I'm glad to hear you're feeling better. I've never been to the hospital for something scary like that. I can only imagine how terrifying it is to be sick and not sure what's going on. I'm really glad you had people to support you through that. And I'm glad you're okay now! Welcome back to Secundi! We're still a very small community but I'm happy that we have a few shops hanging on and we still have friends interacting here.

Good to hear from you!!! i'm glad you're alright now @_@ i had the same thing happen to me actually lol. Mine was two different events though but no gall bladder now. Mebby you'll be able to participate in some of the events we have coming up even if you can't run your own just yet
