I'm all for meeting new friends! ^_^ But as for the romance department, I can't help you there (since I'm not a guy lol).

In my own life experience, if you're not happy by yourself, finding another person won't make you happy either... You need to be happy and content in your own life before you go out and search for another person to connect with. But looking for new friends is a great start and a great way to be happy with yourself as well!
