Well... I decided that it's been put off long enough, it's time to breed our Lyvanna

There are wild breedings available for anyone with a female, males can be released for the season and hopefully they'll bring you something back (i.e. another wolf/item/etc.) If you buy an item from the store, there's a limit of three per person and you may only use up to two items per litter you expect. You may breed two litters per season and there should be a breeding season every three months. In a litter, two is the most common surviving number of pups, where 1 or 3 is uncommon and any number other than that is rare.

Gives a chance for an extra pup during breeding

Fossil - 4K
Gives a chance for a throwback in the litter (really only matters with 3rd gen+ litters)

Raw Meat - 17K
Entices a wild wolf for breeding (needed for males that you want to breed, increases the chance for females to attract a wild mate)

Gender Potion - 15K
Allows for same gender breedings by temporarily changing the gender of one of the wolves.

Bouquet of Flowers - 6K
Ensures at least half the litter is female

Bones - 6K
Ensures at least half the litter is male

Orange Rock - 22K
Guarantees a fantasy litter

Gray Rock - 14K
Guarantees a natural litter

Surprise Cause I like surprises!!! Crazy cackles as he waves the mysterious item in front of your faces. It could have anything!! Anything at all... Even a wolf or a pup or even... ME!! He cackles, bounding around his "store" But to get this surprise you have to trade me one of your items!! He bounds to the top of his item pile, ready to hoard some more or maybe sell you some, grinning all the while.

Inter-pack breedings;
These breedings mean that two wolves from two different packs will attempt to breed, there is a chance that they will not breed though. Each owner may contribute one item.

If the breeding fails, you can try to pair them again with other wolves.

If you want to have a wild breeding and you only have a male, you can either a; release him for the season (doesn't count towards your two breedings) and hope that he brings back anything from an item to another wolf to his dam with a litter or b; use some Raw Meat and hope to entice a wild she-wolf to come in and breed with your boy. This doesn't always guarantee that you get to keep her, just that you get at least one pup from her litter.
If you want to have a wild breeding and you have a female, you can release her without items and hope for the best or release her with some Raw Meat and she has a better chance of getting a stronger male. She may even bring him back with her.

Somethings to remember about wild breedings;
Sometimes you lose puppies but I don't tell you when unless you ask. I just tell you how many you get.
You always have a chance, even if it's a small one, that the mate of the wolf you sent into the wild will come back and join your pack at the end of the season.
The only item you can use in a wild breeding is Raw Meat. And you can only use one.

I would like to know how many pups there are over all from the litter please.  Also, what happens to "extra" pups that we don;t get to keep, are they re-homed elsewhere later, or just not colored into existence?

And finally, if I don;t use the NPC breed this season, will it carry over to next season?

Okay Kadana, the pups are not colored into existence (except on very rare occasions) as wild pups that are separated from their mothers so young hardly ever make it. I will let you know what you get though

And your free breed is pretty much an item, you can use it, store it, or trade it
