"A bow can be used for many things. It's most often used for killing, though." Kazaal explained, leaning his back against the nearest tree. A calculating gleam entered his eye as he wondered if the animal would be afraid or not. In this world it seemed impossible to predict anything, after all.

The White Bunnox frowned watching him, "Hopefully for just hunting to feed yourself?" he asked, meaningless killing was pointless.

[Victoria]

"I can keep him!! yay" she picked up the little bunnox and cuddled it.

[SkySong]

Kazaal shrugged. Many people used bows for much more nefarious reasons. "It's not always that simple. There are those who hunt to feed, hunt to sell, hunt for bragging rights, hunt for the challenge... A bow can be used in war, too. A bow and a quiver of arrows in the right hands can kill a man before he is aware of the danger." While he spoke, his eyes unfocused and his free hand slid across the arched wood in an absent minded fashion.

Sage smiled letting her take the Bunnox, turning to look for the others, not taking long to know where they were, "Lets get everyone gathered up so we can move on! Would you like to fetch timber or Kazaal?"

The rabbit watched him, "But what of you?" It slowly moved closer watching the strange being.

[SkySong]

The Bunnox once again received a shrug. "I do what I feel I must." He responded, more taciturn now that the question specifically addressed him and his actions. "I do not consider myself a wanton killer." He added.

[Victoria]

"Lets go find Timber first, then Kazaal." Roxy said.

[Tribbler]

Sage gave Victoria a nod smiling as he moved, letting his ability to sense her location to head in that direction. When they arrived he smiled, and decided to give her a moment with getting the Bunnox.

The Bunnox watched him, and gave a nod, finishing its slow trek to stand right before him, he only came up to his knees if he stretched up to do so, he was about calk height all bunched together to sit and relax. "I see, Well.. Where are you headed?" was asked curiously

A glance showed the mountain towering above through the trees. "To the peak, I suppose." He mused, realizing that Sage didn't specify any further than 'the mountain.' With that thought in mind, he began retracing his steps through the snow.

Timber smiled at the little creature.  I'm a human.  And I'm sure I'm pretty funny looking.  I came to your world through a portal.  I've been exploring with a few others.  What are you?  You look different from the other Kanins we've seen so far.

[Tribbler]

The White Bunnox nodded hopping after Kazaal, "Sounds fun!"

I'm a Bunnox Kanin!" The small tail wagged behind it as it watched you.

[timbergray]

Timber smiled as she watched the little Kanin's tail wiggle.  Well, you're just the friendliest Kanin I've met!  I'm going to be sad when Sage sneaks over here and tells me we have to go.  She looked at the Bunnox slyly.  Unless, that is, you felt like joining an adventure with an alien from a different world?

The Bunnox smiled, "Sure I'll go with you! Adventures are fun! And I know Sage! He's quite strange, the Leader God is always so upset with him.."


That's when Sage appeared..Clearing his throat he smiled, "Why don't we go get Kazaal and move on?"

Timbergray smiled at the little Bunnox.  Speak of the devil. . . .   She winked.  Oh, and I never did get your name.  I'm timbergray.  timber for short.

Henwi, the Bunnox replied, following behind her as she followed Sage and Roxy in search of Kazaal

Sage rose a brow, having a feeling being called a 'devil' was a bad thing when it came to these earthlings. But he shrugged, and turned heading to where he sensed Kazaal, once finding him he smiled, "I see you all made a Bunnox friend, good for you all! Well, we ready to continue up the mountain, or do you want to head back to somewhere else, like back to the lake, or to the meadow, or hey, we could even visit the dark forest." he smiled, leaving it up to the group.

Kazaal sensed that the last option was probably added to entice the sense of adventure in the group, but he felt irony as he would most likely be perfectly at home in any forest, regardless whether it was 'dark' or not. It didn't hold nearly as much of a lure as it might have for the other two. With his own bias in mind, he once again left the decision to the two girls. If there was a disagreement, he would make a choice, but he would cross that bridge if and when he came to it.

[Victoria]

We were already on the way up the mountain so we might as well continue Roxy thought. She then said " lets continue up "

[timbergray]

Timber smiled.  I like forests as much as the next city shut-in, but we're already on the mountain. . . . She laughed.  Sage, why do you always give us the hardest choices!  Could we maybe finish on the mountain now and go back to the forest after that?

[Tribbler]

Sage laughed softly, "I was just giving you the options, but perhaps we may, barring anything happening." he smiled warmly, and turned, "Well, this way then everyone!" He started heading to a trail that led up the mountain side.

[Victoria]

Roxy followed closely behind Sage up the trail on the mountian.

[Tribbler]

As they were traveling upwards and onwards, Sage felt a sinking feeling in his gut, and eventually brought the group to a stop as he looked around... "Something's not right."

As soon as the words escaped his mouth the sky darkened and a red portal--unlike the blue ones you used to cross over to the Kanin world--opened up and out stepped...


She laughed, "About time I found you... Now Pop~ Off you go~"

Sage made a strange sound as he suddenly vanished at the snap of the black-skinned girls fingers.


"Oh gosh, you really did it Xera!" Another figure stepped through the portal, wringing her hands together.

Xera, roller her eyes, "Hush Cita! We're going to run the adventure now! That was the whole point!" She grinned looking back to the group, "What are you guys after?" She asked bluntly.

Kazaal, not one to take kindly at the very sudden, very unexpected event, glared at the two who appeared and said nothing. While he had no real attachment to Sage, the disrespectful manner in which the dark girl addressed him made his lip curl into a light sneer. Why on earth this 'Xera' thought the Secundians would simply follow her, someone they had never seen before, was something the hunter didn't understand. Her question went unanswered.

[Tribbler]

Xera rolled her eyes, "Oh come on.. Anyone can guide you around, it's not rocket science!"

"Xera, don't be so mean... They don't even know us.." She was an empath, so not so surprisingly she knew what Kazaal's bit of concern was.

Xera groaned, "I'm Xera, and this is Cita... We're not blood related but we grew up as sisters. Now... What are you wanting to find? Are you wanting pets? Kanins? To just explore? What?" Really she was impatient.

Cita figited a bit, "Hey Xera... what did you do with Sage anyhow?" she was curious.

Xera chuckled, "Wouldn't you like to know."

[SkySong]

"Actually, I am a bit curious myself." Kazaal's tone made the mountain look like a summer vacation spot in the tropics. While Xera's logic made sense on a basic level, there was also the rapport that Sage had built with the group already established and the simple fact that the newcomers were unknown variables to consider. The fact that Xera had vanished Sage without his permission also sat unwell, regardless her intentions. He wasn't quite sure what to think of Cita.

[Victoria]

Roxy felt uneasy as the two appeared and banished Sage, the group was quite fond of him. "Who, are you two? Where did you come from? What did you do with Sage!!? " Roxy said with a kindof sass in her tone.

[timbergray]

Timber frowned at the two and folded her arms.  Push, uninformative, demanding, weak, arrogant, and altogether overbearing.  She was not impressed.  So, she decided to answer Dark Xera's question.  I'm wanting Sage back, she told the dark girl in the same blunt manner as she'd been asked.  She ignored the purple one, it was pretty clear she had no real authority.

[Tribbler]

Xera frowned, crossing her arms, "Oh come one! I can be just as fun!" But the group was adament and she groaned, "I just sent him to another dimension.. He should be just fine!"

Cita gasped a hand covering her lips, "Xera!" she scolded.

Xera groaned.. "Fiiiine." she growled a bit, black ears on her head folding back a bit. She snapped her fingers and appeared sage again--granted off guard and in the air, he hit the ground with a audible thud. "Happy?" Xera snapped.


Sage peeled himself off the ground taking longer than he normally would have to get the air that was forced out--back into his lungs. Really that shark bite took a lot out of him. He frowned looking up.. "What are you two doing?" he asked a bit angrily. Really.. He didn't even know where he had been thrown to!

Xera rolled her eyes, "Get off your high horse girly boy, I just want to host the adventure! Just because you were hand-picked to do it doesn't mean no one else wants to!"

Sage frowned, but really didn't want to have a fight--or get sent to another dimention again--when he was feeling weak as it was. So with a sigh, he looked to the group... "Do.. you mind if she just.. shows you around a little bit?" hopefully it would satisfy her and she would go back to doing whatever she normally did...

Kazaal, clearly unimpressed with the girls, just gave Sage a look. "And why should we bother following an impatient, selfish brat?"

(Hm, sorry if this is short. I don't tend to write much during dialog.)

[timbergray]

Timber frowned.  Do I mind?  Yes.  She's a rude and arrogant little snit and I don't like her one bit.  She's made quite a terrible first impression and I imagine she's quite a nightmare to put up with in the long run, as she's hardly tolerable in the short run.  Will I put up with her?  Only if you actually want us to.  Does she answer to the Kanins too?

She turned to Xera.  And you! I don't know if you were deliberately trying to get us to not like you, but jumping in out of nowhere, hijacking our tour by kidnapping our guide, and then calling yourself fun is not exactly a way to make friends.  And if you're not here to make friends, I want no part of you or your mischief.  You're nothing but a bully and no one wants you here.  She stood back to wait for Xera's reaction.  She wasn't afraid of the dark cat-girl.  The Kanin gods had made it quite clear they were keeping an eye on the travelers and wouldn't let them come to harm, even by their own devices.  If this girl meant trouble, no doubt the powerful Kanins would appear once again.

[Tribbler]

Sage nodded to Kazaal and timbergray. "I don't have a why." he admitted sheepishly. Then looked back to her, "While I won't let you run it, since they don't want to... Why don't you join the tour... Maybe you can actually get along with them and perhaps make friends." he spoke to Xera.


Xera groaned, "Fine fine.. I'll join the adventure... Really you guys are to clingy! Sage isn't that great." she grumbled a bit, but looked to Cita, "C'mon.. we'll follow them."

Cita wrung her hands together, "Oh, okay..." she looked to the others and managed a weak smile, "I'm.. Cita by the way.."

[timbergray]

Sage isn't that great. . .

Timber glared at the girl.  Neither are you.  But if you must follow, do it quietly.  You're giving me a headache.   She glanced coldly at the purple girl.  Hi.  And with that, she turned her back on the newcomers and followed Sage.

[Victoria]

Roxy stood back and watched as the two lashed out on Xera's unpleasnt behavior . She wanted to be no part of the arguing and just waited for it to end. When Xera said she wanted to be the guide, Roxy then gave a frown but when Sage appeared she smiled a bit then helped Sage to his feet. When Sage spoke about letting them join the group her smile quickly became a frown... "Xera please dont cause any trouble we have been through enough as it is and we dont need you to make things worst." Roxy finally said. After that she turned to Cita to greet her, She didnt seem as reckless and crazy as her friend Xera. Roxy then turned back to the group and started heading back up the mountian.

[Tribbler]

Sage gave a faint nod, and turned, "well let's get going then." he gave a smile, and moved to catch up to Roxy so she wasn't heading up the mountain herself. He felt ready to drop yipes. But he still smiled, "So at the top, I've heard a lot of Bunnox are up there."


The two girls silently fell in behind the group. Xera was upset, and Cita was indifferent to it..

" Thats awesome!" Roxy said. " Maybe we will find some kanin " she said hopefully.

[Tribbler]

Sage smiled giving Roxy a nod, "Perhaps." As the snow got deeper as they traveled up the mountain sage started having a bit of trouble even though he was trying to hide it. Really, he didn't want to end the adventure due to some shark bite. Where his magic usually would keep him feeling warm, he had to snap his fingers letting a cloak appear around him which he couldn't help but pull closed around him. "So..." He glanced to the others, "Anyone else need one?" he asked with a soft smile.

Kazaal, eyes honed to pick out the weakest creature, frowned from his place behind the group. While the snow was draining to push through, compared to those closest to him, Sage did seem to be struggling a bit more than them. He let his mind wander on what could be causing this, ranging from a magical weakness against snow, a weaker body do to being able to perform magic and not needing as much physical strength... It felt like a pointless endeavor, but the thought process was so instinctive he let it slide. His own cloak had dried out at some point and it now hung comfortably on his shoulders, so he shook his head, refusing Sage's offer. If he looked slightly distracted, he didn't say anything.

Timber moved closer to Sage.  What's up, demon boy, you seem a little slow.  Need a hand?

[Tribbler]

Sage smiled gently, "Oh I'm okay, just worn out, this has been the most..eventful adventure I've ever taken anyone on."

[timbergray]

Timbergray gave him a sidelong glance.  Really?  You mean you haven't been attacked by giant toothy fish from another world before?  How strange.    She moved ahead a little bit before calling back over her shoulder, Just don't forget my offer, it's not going away just because you want to keep playing the hero.

[Tribbler]

Sage blinked, but shook his head and let her go on ahead, deciding to not stop her. Not sure how he was 'playing the hero' by not letting the adventure end, really it was what he was suppose to do, right? Exactly, had to be.

After awhile he stopped blinking, turning, "Hey, you guys all got your whooen trophy's, want to explore here?" he motioned his hand to a side, where there were some snow-covered pine trees.

[Victoria]

Roxy was walking behing Sage when Timber had came up. She only heard a little bit of what was said but Roxy felt like Timber had a little crush on Sage. When Sage had stopped Roxy was too busy in thought, she then collided with Sage. Her bumping into Sage finally snapped her out of her trance. "Sorry" she said, looking to where Sage was pointing "Sure lets go!!!" Roxy cheered.

Kazaal didn't so much nod as he wandered off towards the pines. It'd be interesting to see what kind of bird they were looking for, but judging by the statues they had received, he guessed they resembled owls. 'I wonder if there's a task to this, too...' He mused wryly.

Sage smiled to Roxy despite her bumping into him and making him hurt. "Well, why don't you all go look around, I'll stay here on the path for now.." Honestly he didn't want to trapeze over a bunch of thick snow.

Xera moved, "I'll keep an eye on them then!" she grinned lightly.

[Victoria]

Roxy walked off into the direction Sage had pointed too and started to examine the trees and bushes. She couldnt help but feel Xera's eyes glaring at her... So she moved off deeper into the trees.

There was a rustling in one of the trees near Victoria

Kazaal moved further into the forest, trying to put some distance between himself and his party.

On Kazaal's route there seemed to be silence until there was a rustling in a nearby brush.

Roxy heard the rustling and started walking towards it . She came close and closer to the tree til she was right there in front of it, preparing for anything .
