Shadow is quiet and watchful.  She will interact with me and socialize when pressed, but doesn't actually seek out my company unless she wants something.  She will tolerate my attention, but only for short periods of time. 

She's a thief, (aren't they all?), and has a penchant for stealing anything she can if she isn't watched, and she takes great pleasure in hiding things from me.  She seems very curious about everything, and is constantly getting into things she can't get back out of.  She also seems to take amusement from tracking Sparky's sleeping area down whenever she picks a new one, which in turn causes Sparky to abandon it and seek out a new sleeping area.  So far, Shadow has shown no inclanation to enter the area of the garden with the Carolina Reaper bushes however.  Whether because she dislikes the pungeant spicy peppars, or for some other unknown reason, is unclear. 

She herself is very good at hiding when she wants to, sometimes in plain sight even!  Once, I must have walked past her half a dozen times or more while searching for her, and never saw her sitting there in the shadows.  Something else that seems to please her, this ability to confound me.  We have yet to discover where she has made her sleeping area..

When she first came to live with me, Shadow ate a lot of protein.  She would nibble nuts and seeds, but she really seemed to enjoy meat, often not even waiting for it to be cooked before sneaking up and swiping it out from under my nose.  However, over this past week, she has seemed drawn to Angel's Food Cake.  She eats it as much and often as she can get away with, with or without icing or any other toppings, so it does seem it is the cake itself that draws her.  She is now eating a diet of equal parts Angel's Food Cake and meat.  And she has taken to flat refusing any meat that has been cooked at all.

I'm off to the library for volunteer work this morning, will try and color this sometime this afternoon/tonight if I'm not too worn out.  Also need to try and figure out how to put dun on a black base.. hmm an off-colored maybe?

Dun on black base exists and is called blue dun or gruello. Dun makes the base color a bit lighter and then adds the dorsal stripe and darker legs. So black + dun is perfectly natural, it is just being called by a different name to confuse you

Tristan is a kind and sorta quiet Surfer. He is very smart, always trying to learn new tricks and skills. He likes puzzles, so he has a collection of them developed for children with blocks and rings etc. I've also taken to giving him his food by putting it inside intelligence toys, which he really enjoys.

He is most inventive at nights, I always find the house and yard to be a big mess when I wake up. During the day he is much less active, prefering to follow me around instead of exploring the world on his own, but he defenitely seems set on making up for this at nighttime.

Tristan is social with the other Surfers. He can keep himself occupied well enough, but obviously prefers company closeby. He is also fiercely loyal and protective of those he considers part of his family, including me. I think the other surfers see him as the leader.

When he sleeps he prefers a spot on the couch, next to where I usually sit, where he has his own soft and fluffy pillow. It was never put there specifically for him, but once he started sleeping on it the other Surfers didn't use it anymore, so now we all consider it his spot.

Tristan is easy enough when it comes to food, he will eat anything, I even catch him munching my books or furniture sometimes! I think he wants to try everything, probably part of his eagerness to learn! I try feeding him a varied diet including vegetables, fruits, bread and nuts but his very favorite thing to eat is cheese and he's eating more and more of it every day.

Burberry is a very sweet Surfer. He loves to cuddle with you! He also likes snow a lot! He can become totally silent watching it, but the next moment he can be bouncing around playing in it, so the cuddles can warm him right back up When there is no snow he still likes to have a lot of fun, but he is rather lazy by nature so he picks things that don't require a lot of moving around. Burberry's favorite thing to play with is a box of crayons, bright and colorful and he can play with them without moving much! He sleeps half next half on top of a big fluffy stuffed teddybear, when you want to find him it's likely he is napping there. His favorite food? Defenitely cherries, he goes crazy for them! But he also enjoys much less healthy foods like eggrolls and deep fried chicken, probably contributing to him being a bit chubby..

I'm not exactly sure yet, I have been seriously considering leaving babies wait to grow until I can get them as an agency.  I "think" I can apply in April.  But that seems the least confusing (for me) way for import purposes anyway.

That said..  If anyone is hesitating to try breeding because of a lack of grown females, do let me know and I'll see what I can do to sort you out

Hey Kadana, I just realized, are you picking what sort of pet we get from these yourself or are we supposed to indicate which we prefer?

For the Inspiration rolls, it is just for Wind Surfers.  I'm not used to doing Inspiration anythings lol  and I just can't see how I can do it for SC's with their current coloring restrictions.  So Inspiration rolls are strictly for Wind Surfers, and as for gender, I do several things to choose.  I look and see if you need a male, or a female, I see if the inspiration posted makes me feel more male or female orientated, and I try and see which line the inspiration would work best on.

For example, Sunny's inspiration was an obvious male choice.  For YLO's, I didn't really "get" much out of the song, after over a dozen replays, the only thing that stuck in my head was the word "supernova" .  Supernova didn't scream either male or female to my subconscious, so I colored a male and a female, to see which it looked bets on.  They both looked equally good to me, so i next checked and saw that YLO only had baby females.  So I saved the female version for her, so she could have a female to try and breed if she chose

I think personally I'd grow 1st gen babies and keep bred babies ungrown til Agency, that way it's easy to remember which one need to be imported with parents but it's whatever you prefer of course! I'd like to toss in my natural ladies but I will participate (as you see ) in the breeding either way ^^

Got some coloring done this morning, as well as some templating.  yay!  Makes me feel a bit better about lack of activity yesterday.  Volunteering at the Library again today, so it will be another slow day for me on here.  Hopefully I can manage to stay awake when I get home this afternoon this time, instead of passing out like yesterday -.-

Notes: Cinnamon is very inquisitive & seems to need to put his nose into everything he sees. He saw Riverwind dipping her Snicker doodles in a cup of milk then eating them one day & he decided he would try it. He climbed up besides her cookies, snuck a nibble from one then sniffed at her milk. He must not have liked the smell for instead of trying it he immediately shoved it off the table with his nose. Then while she was trying to clean up the mess he grabbed her Snicker doodles& ran off with them. Now when she is eating them she has to keep a sharp eye out for him as he smells them & comes running.
