SGA Saint Patrick's Day Fun - All games ended, winners posted

The compound bustles with activity, as all of the staff mills about chatting and sipping drinks.  Large tents have been set up in the fields, with cots and bedding for guests should they require it.  Invitations went out, some by mail, some by phone, some just passed on word of mouth.  SGA is having a party!  A week long gathering of friends to relax and celebrate Saint Patrick's Day.  The training ring has a pretty green and gold canvas pavilion set up, with large picnic tables arranged under it.  The tables are covered with green, white and orange table cloths, and completely filled with serving platters of food and bowls of punch and juice.

Around the office suddenly comes Ray, dressed like a Leprechaun!  His red hair shines in the sun, peeking out from beneath a ridiculous green top hat.  And that beard!  Surely it must be fake.. but oh how amusing he looks!  But wait, he isn't alone.. behind him trails others also dressed up.. and here come bag pipe players.. oh wow that's loud!  Baton twirlers, jugglers.. and in the midst of all the people, come some Storm Chasers.  ohh they are dressed up too!  Ribbons flutter in the breeze as tails swish, bells jingle, and hooves flash golden in the sunshine.  Passing by the treeline, the little parade is suddenly "attacked" as some Wind Surfers decide to join the fun.  Diving out of the tree's to glide along with the parade, and hopping from peoples heads to the backs of the Storm chasers.  How exciting!  But.. best watch your trinkets, with those furry thieves around.  Just in case!

Spotting you, Sascha grins and hurries over.  Pressing a cup of something green into your hand, she hooks her arm through yours and leads you towards the tables.


"Welcome, I'm so glad you could make it!  As you can see, were celebrating Saint Patrick's Day here.  All games are free to enter.  please read rules and criteria closely before entering.  Feel free to ask any questions you may have.  Kadana is still a bit sick, and under the influence of medicine, so maybe wasn't entirely clear sometimes.

Most of our games will run for 24 hours, make sure you enter on time!  No entries will be accepted if they are late.. or early!  There is plenty of cots in the tents if you wish to rest, or stay the night.. or week!  So have fun!"

Disengaging her arm from yours, she turns and heads off to greet someone else, leaving you standing under the pavilion with all the tables filled with food.

Nameplate Design

This is the first event, but it is the most important, and also the longest running.  You have to do this event, in order to enter any of the others.  You are going to craft a nameplate.  This same nameplate will be used in entries for the rest of the events.  Due to this, I will be ending this event last.  This way, any late comers to the thread will still be able to craft their Nameplate, and enter any events that haven't ended yet.

(Nameplate can be made out of an index card, a sheet of paper (folded perhaps for thickness), construction paper, other card-stock, etc)

Your Nameplate must..

• Have your username clearly visible and readable.  That means no cursive, or calligraphy etc please.
• Show some green.

You can decorate it however you want, as long as it fits in the two criteria above.  There will be a prize for the one I like the best.  But remember to save your nameplate's when this is done, for future events

Wearing of the green

Scavenger Hunt

Your task, is to find as many of the items on the list as you can, gather them together in one place, and take a picture.  You will receive points for each item that is in your photo.  You will also receive points for the hour you posted in.  There are 7 items on your list.  So if someone posts a photo with 5 of the items on the list, in the first hour, then they will get 5 points for the photo, and 24 points for posting in the first hour, giving them a total of 29 points.  If that same person was to post in the final hour, the photo with 5 items, they would get 6 points total.  5 for the photo, and 1 for posting in the final hour.

There are three prizes, so the top three point values will be winners, with the highest number of points getting first pick of prizes, second highest getting second pic, and third highest getting the last prize.  If there is a tie in the point values of the winners, then prize picking order will be randomized.

So while this is a semi long running event, it still has an element of speed.  It is in your best interest to gather as many items as quickly as possible, for the maximum chance of points.

Important Note: When looking over the list, try to think outside the box and not take things in a strict literal sense.  I don't expect anyone to teleport to the real Blarney Stone and swipe it for this event for example, just something to use to represent it.  A stone from the yard perhaps.  Use your imagination, and have fun

Leprechaun Food

For this event, I want to see some food.  Green food, specifically!  Make me a dish, something green, anything green.  You don't even technically have to cook, a bunch of green grapes would fit the criteria just fine.  As long as it is food, and it is green, it counts.  Take a picture of the food, make sure to include your nameplate!  Now post the picture and make me hungry

There will be two prizes.  First prize will go to a winner of my choosing.  I'll be picking one entry, whichever entry makes me the hungriest, makes my mouth water the most, makes me really REALLY want to taste it.  This winner will get first pick of prizes.

All other entrants, will be randomized, to pick a second winner.  Second winner will get whichever prize the first winner didn't choose.

I hope you all like the "gold plated" hooves, I know they aren't fitting in line with the natural rule of the SC's, but I felt they deserved to "dress up" a bit as well.

All the SC's in this thread are receiving a permanent 5 point bonus to their Flair stat.

The two wearing the Jingle bell tress will also get a temporary boost to any Flair events they enter.  So be sure to make a note of that when entering them in comps!  Just mention it when signing them up, that they are wearing the jingle bell tress, and when comps are rolled, they will gain a small bonus for that event.
