Dear Diary

Derevi was special.  Where so many of her fellows would sneak and steal, she was awarded all of the honors and majesty a being such of herself should be given.  Still, there was no reason to not keep her paw in on the 'play' of the others.  So when a particularly loud group of customers came in, already on their way to being drunk, Derevi slipped out for a nice stalk.  She stalked the yard, she stalked the stable, and, finally, she stalked a little mouse that did not take enough care on its way home.

With pleasure, Derevi brought her prize indoors and left it on the bed of her favourite sleeping room.  The guest there was going to receive a lovely surprise this evening when he slipped in for bed!

Dear Diary,

The kits around here learn fast--but not fast enough! There's still enough starch in my spine to teach them a thing or three. Like young Flame this morning, tried to run straight down the hall and jump on me from behind. But I heard her pawsteps coming, drumming against the wood, clear as daylight. At the last moment I threw myself down on my back just as she jumped on me. With a kick of my hind legs up in the air, I caught her in the belly and her own momentum sent her sailing! That'll teach kits to sneak up on their elders.

(This is totally based on the day real-life Mango tried to jump on Kohaku from behind... hahaha! My baby boy may be an old man now in cat years, but he is not too senile yet XD )
