Please bare with me, I am going to attempt to start a breeding season and also add in the unfinished breedings from the December season. I will post the unfinished breedings from the December breeding thread, as a reference. So, everyone with a breeding listed there, you may resubmit those breedings (through the Secundi "Use Agency Item" system), you will still get your regular 3 breedings per season PLUS your unfinished breeding from December. So, 3 breedings + 1 submitted December breeding.

BREEDING SEASON IS NOW OPEN

Breedings may be submitted through March 8th.

RULES:
-You may submit 3 breeding's each season.
-You must own an 'In Season' Breeding Box to breed.
-You must submit breeding's via the "Use Agency Items" page.
-You may keep 2 babies from each litter (unless you are a Registered Den, then you can keep 4).
-You do not have to own the pets you are breeding, however, please have the owner's PM me their permission for you to use them.
-If you are using a Fruit Basket or Magic Feed Bag with your breeding please tick the check-mark for those items accordingly


* BG Rats have 4-6 kittens per litter; 4 being the most common
* BG Snakes lay 3-5 eggs per litter; 3 being the most common
* BG Bettas lay 4-6 eggs per litter; 4 being the most common
* BG Ocelots have 1-2, sometimes very rarely 3, cubs per litter; 2 being the most common

Breeding Season will be held every other month.

To clarify, for the baby of an ocelot we are not allowed to keep, can we rehome it as we please or will you be doing that?

Is there ANY way we can keep more babies somehow? Via an item or something? (Only saying this assuming you have be-rid of the registered den deal, which gave users 4 babies per breeding to keep)

Also, for fruit baskets, are you planning to stick with the way I did those? For example, using a fruit basket with an Ocelot litter would /always/ result in 3 babies.

Females can be bred once per season, and males unlimited.

Any ideas on an item for same gender breeding?

Yes, Fruit Basket guarantees 3 Ocelot cubs. Hmmm....how about if you get 2 you can keep one or if you get 3 you can keep 2? Or, some kind of USD item to claim more than the alotted limit?

You can rehome any babies as you like. But, if they are not rehomed by the end of the season (end of the month) they will either be; deleted from the system or put up for bid....which do you guys prefer? Or any other ideas?

We can do a Wild breeding, but how can we do that for the system? I can make a "Wild" male/female so that you have a ID number to enter into the system....what do you think?

Okay for a same gender breeding, Maybe... A mirror? XD Trying to think of something real animals would relate to same-gender.

On the USD, Its not my adoptable anymore, but I kinda feel weird on having something for USD like that. The way people got to have more babies before was for a small fee in SG every month. My main thing was making sure /everyone/ could get /all/ the benefits. It just didnt seem fair to me to halt some people from getting the benefits because they didn't have the money or whatever. I think thats partly why everyone loved CDA so much, is that I made sure that everything was accessible to everyone. But that is ultimately up to you.

The way I did the extra babies thing is how Leet does it: You set the amount of babies the user can keep from that litter (lets say 3), and the litter was a group of 5. The way the system does this is completely on its own. Since you set that litter to 3, the remaining 2 are automatically sent back to the Umm Gaia account once the litter grows, so you can do with those as you please. (Which is partly why there are soooo many premades... >.>) So you really dont need to do anything they are just automatically sent to you when the owner doesnt rehome them all in time. Its such a wonderful little tool. I LOVE IT. -Actually ALOT of the agencies here do that. Its so much easier XD

Wild breeding:
All you have to do is just enter the parent thats actually being bred and leave the other one blank. It will show up with the one parent on their pedigree for you. ^^ No need for a "wild" pet with an ID.


ETA: Dont worry. We all who have run an adoptbale have gone through this. XD the questions, the feedback, changing things, changing it again, and again, and again.... And then finally working out a system after much trial and error, frustration, and patience. XD *snugs* You're doing wonderfully!

I don't think I ever had an item for that (just too much extra work for a little thing), so if you want to keep things simple I'd just let them submit those like anyone else does.

Uh yeah, seems to be listed in the agency info box thing where comments go about "Use Magic Feed". I don't know how you'd go about checking those or what. But eh. That's ok.

Betta breedings are 4 babies average with a maximum of 6 possible.

Another question!

I think with the old way, there was a chance when breeding two fantasy colors that you wouldn't get fantasy (Maybe 25% or something) Is this still true? (So Fantasy x Fantasy =/= Fantasy) Or will fantasy x fantasy = fantasy?

And when breeding fantasy x normal, what's the ratio for the passing fantasy to normal?

* 10% chance of fantasy baby with Fantasy X Normal
* 30% chance of fantasy baby with Fantasy X Fantasy
* Magic Feed will guarantee a fantasy litter, no matter what

This is what I had. Its still listed on the agency page so I'm assuming its the same now? Not totally sure though.

Also: YEAY YOU GOT THE BETTA FRY AND EGG DONE. Now I need bettas.... >.>

I'd really REALLY not like this, it would just be too confusing/too much to try and remember.  I already highly dislike being forced to trade pets away before they grow up, and often enough simply forget to/miss the deadline, and lose some.  But to make different breeds/species have a different amount allowed to be kept, plus make a different amount allowed to be kept for different litter sizes.. I'm afraid this would be just too much for me, I'd stop breeding entirely most likely.

Ahhhh, I forgot that the fantasy chances were so low, even breeding Fantasy x Fantasy. Any way I can tack the Magic Feed Bags onto the three breedings I already submitted?

So... apparently, that wasn't the case. My breeding is cancelled, and my in-season breeding box is  missing. So... uh... how can this get fixed?

Oo weird. When Sarah gets home from work, just have her manually add your items back in your inventory.

Hooray. I guess I'll just leave the other two breedings without the magic feeds though, as I don't feel like messing with all of this again.

But yeah. The items disappeared from my inventory as soon as I sent the breedings in, and I don't think they come back when you cancel. So... uh... make sure you have what you want on there the first time around, haha.

Wild breedings work for "uploading" with only one parent listed.  But to submit a breeding using the automated system, you have to have 2 parents. 

Sarah, you maybe can let wild breedings be posted in forums, manually remove the breeding items, and then when you upload the babies, just list only the one parent. 

As far as I know this is the only way without making a "wild" pet to breed with as you suggested.  But not sure folks would like that, as then every wild breeding will relate back to that one ID number.

OK so if I understand right, I re-submit this old breeding through the Use Item function on site, and then I go ahead and submit 3 more breedings for this season, so 4 total I can submit?

Just checking if that's correct, before I do anything.

Also, I'll wait a bit on submitting anything, until a decision is made about litter sizes/number of babies we can keep.

Yes, if you had a breeding that didn't get done on the December thread you get that breeding + the 3 breedings you get for this season.

Since Ocelots only have 2 or 3 cubs, you can keep 2.

So if I understand correctly registered dens lost the priviledge to keep 4 babies per breeding? I don't think that is fair and I hope you will consider changing it back I paid a monthly fee specifically to get this priviledge.
