Hey guys! Question: who is claiming a Grade this breeding season to start a something-into-Shires project?

I have a couple different Grades I can claim, but I just realized I don't know what other projects people are working on. Is there a bunch of us all doing dun projects? Cuz I might consider trying for appy gene instead. Unless there's a ton of us doing appy. XD;;

Ember

I'm definitely working on a dun project. And flaxen, though none of my grades are showing it. *pokes them*

I plan to work on one next season...Should have started it this season but I couldn't resist the chance to get a lighter colored female Shire XD

TheLeet

I'm doing a silver dapple project. I do have a few Shire grades with other genes available, if anyone's interested. ;)

I've gotta admit that dun is pretty much my favourite gene but I knew that you were already doing it so decided to go for something else.

I'm doing dun AND appy.  xD;;;  I might also add to roan into the mix.

Ember

Hey Dawn, I have a blue dun roan grade girl I'm claiming this season. ;) She might be useful to both of us at some point.

DawnStar7

Ooh, sweet!  I'm claiming my palomino dun appy grade boy, for sure, and possibly my red dun Tobiano grade girl.  I'm definitely open to collaborating.  ;)

Bumping this up because I'm curious how the May 2014 season went for people with Shire breeding projects?

I think I will claim this Grade tonight:
Grade M Perlino Roan Blanket Appaloosa

And start a roan+cream+appy project. ^_^

I claimed Ember's Blue Dun Roan Grade Stallions

The only way for a horse to be flaxen is to have two flaxen genes (ff), so in order to produce it both parents have to have at least one flaxen gene to pass on.

Didn't know if you knew that.

It's just like chestnut and why it's so difficult producing chestnut Friesians!

Ryuukokoro

Whoa I never knew that Sarah! Learn a little something new every day. :)

I'm working on Dun+Appy, though sadly didn't get in any breedings this last round.

Well he's only a first gen Grade but I have an adorable boy who has cream and roan and appy! I usually don't like how roan looks on creams (makes them too pale for my monitor) but I really like how he looks!  ;D
