The Untamed - Second Breeding Season -update-

Clearing up the old breeding season before starting a new one first of all those who kept more than 4 Untamed from last season will have received messages asking which 4 they want to keep, the others will be transferred to Mini Mutt to be given out in events at a later date.

To those who kept less than 4 Untamed and would have used a larger den had they known they could keep 4 rather than 3 please PM me letting me know how many young you kept last season and a preference of species and I will sort things out with you.


So changes to breeding season are as follows,

Removal of limit on how many Untamed can be kept by one person

Introduction of medium den site (guarantees 2-4 young Untamed per breeding)

Drastic changes in pricing of renting den sites with removal of the limit on how many Untamed can be kept I'm hoping this will keep litter sizes down.

Rules,

One breeding per season per person (not per account), this is subject to change for later breeding seasons depending on how many Untamed are born to prevent overwhelming numbers.

You are welcome to trade pups/kittens.

Females can breed once per season, males twice.

Breedings can be submitted up until the end of the 15th, once the Secundi timer ticks over to the 16th breedings will no longer be accepted. If anyone thinks this is too short a time frame let me know I wasn't sure how long to give

Colouring of puppies/kittens will then begin immediately.

Note:
Breeding two merle canines can result in double merle offspring, a double merle Untamed will always have only merle offspring, but double merle pups will also be randomized for blindness and deafness The Untamed is a wild animal adoptable as such a blind or deaf pup will not survive into adulthood and you will not be able to keep said pup.

Den sites are 'rented' fees are below, there is no fee for claiming later on, the den site renting fee is the one and only fee for breeding season. Fees should be sent to Mutt. Sorry if they're a little steep I'm very concerned about having a ton of Untamed to colour and getting them all done in an orderly fashion.

Looks like there's going to be a lot of wolves this season :3 I love colouring them though so no problems there, if you guys are 100% certain you don't want to change your breeding choices before the 16th let me know. It's going to rain all week so I have time to colour and it'll speed things up a lot if I start the first litters early.

Important Update - breeding season will probably be open considerably longer than I've specified so good news to those still looking for Untamed, due to family issues I may not have access to art programs soon, things are bad enough that I may have to vacate my home I almost did this morning and would have had my dog not suddenly fallen ill. If I do have to leave litters will take some time to be delivered as I'll only have access to the internet on library computers, but I'll try to finish the breeding season even if I have to enlist the help of a digital art savvy friend.

Some better news we've reached the 200th owned Untamed.

Random.org says Saturnalia gets Untamed #200, she specified wolf and any coat colour as her preferences in an old forum I hope this coat is okay... I forgot my scanner really dislikes orange, tan and brown... so much touching up in photoshop XD

EDIT: Getting close to original cut off time now, litters posted above this post will be locked in so to speak when the Secundi clock ticks over to the 16th so I can start colouring them, will still be accepting new breeding requests for at least another couple of days depending on how things go.

Bunraku - I'm glad you like how I colour the brindles I'm trying to make them look more realistic than I used to. I myself was particularly fond of your litter, the sire Leon is a grizzle brindle (which is why he has tan points with no striping over them, I've only seen this pattern on two or three dogs) so this was a first for me in that I was stumped as to what the pups should look like but I like the results :3

Thanks for the well wishes, Violet seems to be in high spirits today despite getting rained on whilst out walking, she still galloped around and played fetch in an area I deemed safe and quiet enough to do so (funny how I'm one of the only person crazy enough to walk in the rain XD )

Alright so I've just uploaded three more litters belonging to Winged, Country and Kahlira.

Country - you've bred the first litter from two merle parents, the breeding produced four pups and they were as follows: a double merle male, a double merle female, a merle male all of which are uploaded and one double merle male who was deaf and did not make it to adulthood so has not been uploaded. As you probably know the two double merles' offspring are guaranteed at least one copy of the merle gene.

Seeing as the time to get forms in was rather short people can still post forums if they have not yet submitted a breeding and I'll colour them as I can. Cut-off date will be set at a later time but please do try to get those forums in as soon as possible and remember my Untamed are all up for free breedings (for availability check my thread in the breeding area section) so if you're having trouble finding a mate for your Untamed you may find one there.

Fairly easy to do so far I've had to colour just 26 Untamed, last season it was 46 plus I was determined to get them done quickly XD. Fewer people bred litters this season. We'll see if any late comers post breeding forums. I may have to consider allowing at least a few people to submit an extra breeding for season draw up a new item maybe and give them out on occasion I think I can handle colouring a several more each season.

Violet's decided not to eat this morning normally she eats non-stop she'd eat until she exploded if she could so this has me worried I might even take her to the vets she's been unwell for a few days now, it looks like I'll just have to stick around a bit longer I'm not going to put her through the stress of walking out and probably living in a tent whilst she's unwell.

I've got a few Bobcats I've coloured I need to give away and seeing as Violet isn't up my morning walk is going to be delayed I'll probably give those away somehow, probably on the other thread
