...to my youngest monsterchild, Shivna



The horse I was never supposed to have, and never supposed to keep, but who will, now, never leave. <3 She's too sassy for her own good sometimes, but she'll always be my fillyface.

~3 months:


1 year, when I was still mistakenly convinced that she was not coming home with me:


February 2011, when she ripped her leg to shreds and had to spend some time at the equine clinic:

"Let me outta here!"

2012



She got lunged and got birthday treats, and then she got to graze while her brother watched forlornly through the fence. I am pretty sure Shivna's thoughts were along the lines of "neener neener, I get grass!"



Of course, the circle of life goes both ways, and I also had to spend some time saying goodbye to an old horse at the barn who will be put to sleep tomorrow. Rest peacefully, Joker...
