Grade to Pure?

Okay, if Quinsta have to be 90% or more to be a "pure" from a grade parent how come there is a Friesian who is only 87.5% in my horse's pedigree?

Because the requirement is over 80%, not 90%

From the Quinsta agency page:

Q: Is it possible for a grade horse to produce offspring of a particular breed?
A: Yes, under certain conditions.  If the grade horse in question is mostly a particular breed (more than 80%), and the foal's other parent is that breed as well, the foal has a chance of showing enough of that breed's characteristics to be officially considered that breed rather than grade.

What YLO said.  If one parent is over 80% one breed and the other is pure for the same breed, the foal has a 50% chance of being purebred for that breed.

[ETA] Though there was one season where the script goofed and gave people purebred foals when one parent was 75% and the other was pure.  (As I recall, no one minded because all the foals affected were Friesians, and up to that point Friesians had only come in your basic black.  I think everyone was getting tired of having such a monochromatic breed, with no paint, appaloosa or roan.)

Yeah they have to have one grade parent that is over 80% and one parent pure, the resulting offspring being over 90% has a 50/50 chance of being pure.

BUT....this is a pure from one parent that is 75% grade and one that is pure....meaning this pure is only 87.5%....NOT over 90%

At least that's how it is on Little Horses, so I'm assuming the same is true with Quinsta.

You mean Avenger? He's my boy, and he's in your boy's pedigree. ^_^ He was created by accident, as springacres said: one season the website glitched and made pures ones generation early. But that's been fixed.
