Hello guys ..

I got my own PC set up again, and it has CS2, which Daimas helped me getting. It's so long since i used this computer that i don't remember if it did this last time i was on it.

- Anyway, i have been colouring today and EVERYTIME i have to save .PSD it stops working a little while, not seriously, it always "comes back" and saves and such, but it is much annoying that it does this everytime.

So i'm hoping that either someone knows why, and can fix it maybe or someone can help me get another copy of CS <3

Thaanks.

Unfortunately it seems to be a rather common problem with CS2, the same exact thing happens to mine. Usually after a fresh installation its fine and it only begins to do this over time (my theory is that it begins to do this due to something with the scratch disk getting bogged down with the excess files the program makes whenever it doesn't shut down or save properly) but yours appears to be doing it after a fresh install? Perhaps if you can tell me what OS and how much memory you have I can help you better. It could also be that your templates or whatever you are coloring is simply very large and as it saves the program stalls out momentarily because the computer lacks the memory to do so without problems. But as I said, CS2 will even do this on the best of computers over time, so you may not be able to get rid of the issue completely. If someone else knows how to, I would be grateful to know myself since its been the bane of using this version of PS for quite some time.

It's probably a memory problem, then, Pink. I'm no CS expert, but typically if something is slowing down then it is because it is running out of space. It's quite possible that the files are big enough to slow things down, or that you are running out of space on the machine you are running. It might also be a fault in the CS line, but I'd see about checking the other two options since they are some things you can actually do something about.

For the size check (And forgive me if you've already tried these things) try doodling a little picture. One layer, something around 200x200. If that saves just fine, then you've just got huge files. Another thing you can try is to go through your computer and get rid of things you never use/look at now. This may or may not help, depending on how much you get rid of.

I tried to do what you said Sky, and that i am saving fine :O

- ETA: I also used to have my adopt files and such on a USB stick, with only 2gb memory on it, so i tried moving my files on to my comp instead and hope that helps xD

ETAA; I LOVE you sky, it helped, doing those things :D!!

Ok.

I live with my BF, we have 40/40 mbit internet, and join.me worked on the laptop we are returning, but for some reason it wont work on my own PC, and i have no idea why.
- I wrote to them, because i have tried to do what is said in their troubleshooting.

Does anyone have good ideas on why it is flickering?
- Or any suggestions to a good alternative program?

So it was something with the memory/size? Glad I could help!

join.me can give me a little trouble too, so I'm pretty sure I can't help with this one. Best of luck!
