Im having trouble with a project here and was wondering what color combos make brown with quin genetics?
Theres vey few brown minis and no mouse duns, so I have to.improvise.

You need a black-based horse carrying At.  If there are no browns or mouse duns, perhaps start looking at bays in hopes that one of them carries brown.  At (brown) is recessive to the A (that makes black horses bay).

Besides bay, you could also look at chestnuts, but that would require a lot of guess and check since you'd basically need to test for their agouti genes.

Brown (mouse dun, sooty buckskin) x black will give you brown roughly 50% of the time.
