The Kindred - New to Secundi

Hey all im new to Secundi and thought id spread my adoptable further then the small confined walls of Pony Island. Some of you may previously know The Kindred or actually own one. Well the old owner gave up and sold me two of the original lines. I have supplied a link to the old owners folders to have a quick peak. Though im sure that are all in Pony Island Usernames.

Please feel free to take a peak into the forums. Spent a lot of hours setting it up when i should have been working on my university assignments. If you wish, and you already own Kindred you may start role playing them in the free to role play sections. Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. Please try to do so in the right section. All pricing and forms can be found in the general information section. Even though it says PG just pretend it says SG

This thread is mainly to introduce this adoptable to your community and id like to see what interests there is on them.

Are you still trying to get more of the old kindred lines? (or were they sold separately?)

however I see the two breeds I loved with them you don't have.

Sadly Guy all line were sold separate, i was lucky to manage to grab up 2 of the old lines, and lucky enough to be able to continue the name. I myself quite liked some of the older species, but ive tried to make up for our loses with some great and exciting new species.

You guys are more then welcome to comment in the new species section. You can also throw out some ideas of mutations they should have etc. Cause i got tired of thinking up mutations and told the artists to choose them, there selves.

It's so great to see them out and about. If you are on PI i have 3 threads open, The Main customs thread, The Disney Special Thread and a Games Thread Ill Also open it all up here soon, once i know there is enough interest.

p.s is it possible to sell SG on here? Cause im not that interested in having it as id only use this site to sell them on

And a Lion King mimic for sale 5mil PG or SG or $50. Males are rare of this species. Buying this also give you the option of me adding blinking animation any maybe a bird flying in the background.

The Disney event will only be open for a month, and what ever hasnt been sold will be moved on and won't come back, unless i ever feel like it. I might consider posting them up for a trade

Just as a general adoptable note, when an adoptable is just starting out and hasn't really "established" itself, it's difficult to find people who would pay big bucks when it's future isn't necessarily certain on a site (even if it's established on another site, there's nothing to confirm the adoptable will remain on this site).

You might also be seeing little interest because there hasn't been an event here yet (if you do a couple free events, I think you might find more people interested :3). It might also be due to old followers of the adoptable finding their favorite breeds missing (probably less likely, but still).

So I would run a few events here first (whether cross-site both on here and PI, or solely here) to best gauge interest :3

I'm with Solistia.  I love the lines and the look... but until I'm sure you are sticking around, I don't want to invest heavily.

The dalmations are to die for and my favoite movie growing up.... Actually, I love ALL disney mimics.  But like Solistia said, I wouldn't want to spend a ton on an adoptable that may not stay here....

This really puts me off getting into them at all. Id rather support someone who intends on being here as a part of the community rather than see if they can just make a lil extra cash off another site.

but i have to say i agree with soli, luv and BKC
- i wouldnt invest in an adopt that might not be here in 1-3 months and not at all wher the owner of the adopt just use the site as a personal "moneymaker"

I plan to mainly use these guys in the future off the forums with role playing etc on there. I havent held any events yet, only cause i just wanted to see what interest there was in this site. I just don't want to spend hard effort and hours of my time setting up stuff on here, for no one to be interested. The reason i ask to sell the SG is cause i have no use for the SG all i want to do is run the adoptable on here, so im pretty much getting nothing for my hard earned hours into colouring customs etc if its not possible to sell on. Id rather sell it off so i can purchase PG on PI so i can vet, feed and contest my ponies.

Im going to be 100% out straight honest i am in this to make money, but im not here to just simply do that. I adore these guys with all my heart and want to continue and make them grow. I hate it when i find an adoptable i love, for it to simply become discontinued in a month or two's time. I am also mainly wanting the profits i make from this to go towards the $100's i have spent to make these guys complete. As a full time uni student who can't get a job (Due to the full time study) i pretty much get nothing.

If you guys are not interested, im more then happy to continue this adoptable else where. (Oh please don't take anything of what i said in a harsh or rude matter, emails and typing on the computer can really hide what emotions are behind the text )

I agree with everyone else on this. You should come here to be apart of the community and not just for the money. If you have no use for SG then this is not the place for you because thats are main source of income.

Secundi is a pretty "family-ish" website.  We want the adoptables we follow to be part of our family, even if it's not someone who chats a lot in the chatter threads, even if it's someone who is really busy with RL and can only pop in once in a while, we respond when we see someone putting in the effort to be part of our community and enjoy this place we all helped create. We like this place to feel like a home. ^_^

Your art is lovely but we've seen a lot of shops come in with lovely art and big plans, and then vanish, taking up our time and money with nothing to show for it. So we've been burned in the past, and some people here are probably leery about a shop that doesn't seem invested in this place. For this particular adoptable site, if you're not interested in becoming part of the community, it's probably not the place for you. But we do wish you luck whatever you decide to do, and we do hope you stick around and come to like it here. ^_^

As pretty as these are, I have to agree with what Ryuu has already said.  It's fine to run adoptable shops here that have their own forums, but if the shop owner doesn't seem invested in the community here then it's hard for me to understand why I should invest my SG in their lines.  But I wish you the best of luck whatever you choose to do with them

I had a pretty pricey adoptable a while back ('cause it focused on customs). About 6months-year later when I realized they weren't coming back, I actually refunded people their SG for it, since it is an important currency :3

Thanks for your feedback guys. I have decided to not use this adoptable on this site. Thank you for taking your time to view them. I was only invited to this site by a friend, i did not know i wouldn't be very welcomed here with this adoptable.

you are welcomed, but you told us that you didn't want to deal with this site other then for real money you didn't want the site currency at all, just kinda puts people off when we have worked really hard to get the community to thrive

and Ryuu is correct, when a community at a whole gets burned they tend to have their guard up.  yes you informed us right up front, but you asked if we would be interested and we gave our opinions

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the lines and coloring, especially the disney customs, BUT I don't want to invest so much time and money on an adoptable that is just going to flake out her and go back to running things just on PI.  While secundi does run slower and have fewer members, we all know each other and keep up with each other.  So a user that doesn't really want to be here.... kind of sticks out like a sore thumb.

So I am sorry you didn't feel welcome... It's not that at all.  It's simply that we don't want you see you waste our time, or your own, with a great adoptie when you don't want to be part of our community.

I agree with most of what's been said so far. I was very interested in the adoptable, and was keeping an eye on this thread to see what happened. I expected a couple of little introductory events to pop up, or at least some examples.
I love the lines and the colouring, but wouldn't be interested in an adoptable that was just here to make a profit and especially if you aren't interested in becoming part of our community. We're a small and quite tight knit community but very wolcoming i've always thought. It just seems offending that someone just wants to make money from us.
