(I'm assuming he's on a Navy ship?) I think you should send him floaty wings and a note about how you're worried that he may need them. No, just kidding. I think you should be careful to NOT send anything that might cause for his shipmates to make fun of him, like skin care products or lotion (you may send those if you want, but try and hide them so his buddies don't think he's a sissy-I'm serious, this happens on the ships and it can get bad) My relatives that have been in the Navy before tell me that the best things their shipmates got were letters with perfume on them (the happiest ones were apparently the guys whose wives sent them a romantic love letter (with perfume, I'm sure) and roses along with it, but I'm not sure how roses will keep over such a long trip overseas.)
That's really all that I've heard a man wants when he's so far from home. He just wants to know that you're thinking of him and to be able to show off his wife's gifts to his friends. <3
