Okay so all my life I've had mutt puppies, and not that this matters! But I've just always wanted a dog with "standerds". I have two lovely mutt puppies at this time but they've decided that they despise being in the house and love to romp outside so I dont get much cuddling time with either now. My husband tells me that at tax time, since our check will be pretty nice, I can get a full blooded puppy of my choice (Though it must be a small breed dog). I *squeed* and now starts the hunt, Im not really looking at puppies right now but more so the breeders. Im thinking a shih-tzu as they are of decent size and Ive known many. They are puppies with odd personalities and big minds :D Quite easy to train and I just -love- all that silky hair (well silky if you groom, ive known quite a few ratty shih-tzus to.

Going to keep all my information here and share with Secundi :D

Found a breeder near me with an AKC breeder referral whos also tied to the shihtzu club of america. Though the puppies will not be AKC registered they will be registered with the APRI which only accepts AKC registered puppies.

She has a litter that is a week or so old and we'll be ready nearing the end of febuary which is perfect! There are 5 girls and 1 boy, im leaning more towards a female as me and my husband pefer them over males. 3 solid blacks & 3 solid brindles. Though Id like a brindle I slightly doubt their will be one left by the time I decide on purchasing as one of them has already been paid a deposit on and one is pending. Id be happy with a solid black though :D

lol I thought about it but with two large dogs already and a kid I'd be worried about back injuries.

I love my pure bred shih-tzu, he's almost 2. He's sweet, smart (grey and white coat), but sadly I won't be able to take him with me when I get married in a few month because I'll probably be taking my puppy lab, my mutt and maybe my moom's lab. Did I mention, that he pees like a girl?lol
