rant.... Evil gimp

OKay so for the most part ive gotten accustomed to gimp. However everynow and then i can save somthing then when i try and open it agian it wont open. ive noticed it happens when im exiting and i hit the save button.

Well here is why im mad. I made a fencat love pair with their wings, templating what i needed, shading the males wings and moving the female so she is in a good spot. I had her all done and only had the male to do. I had done his shirt and his belt cause its a hope(sara) and marshall love pair. and if you know what they are you know doing digis is time consuming. I had almost finished i just had the tail part to do and i was going to be done with it. Awell i remebered i needed to check somthing on wow and gimp makes hte comp run slow when in wow. So i exit after i had saved. it asked if i want to save i thought maybe i didnt and so i hit save. Then i exit. Well i finish with wow and i go to work back on the camo and what happens. Cant open the file....

So basicly i have to ask kage to send me the lines aigan so i can move them around, template them how i want them, shade the males wings and do the coloring all over agian... im going to curl in a corner now.

I've never had this problem, but what I would suggest is that once you have the base lineart, open it in GIMP and immediately save your project under a different name.  Then don't delete either file until you are 100% sure you are done.

(As a side note, programs typically only ask you to save on exit if you have unsaved changes.  So make absolutely sure you save manually before you exit.)

I don't think you can use Paypal directly to buy stuff off of Amazon. You have to do it indirectly -- put it into your checking account and then use that to pay for an item, or use a Paypal debit card. But since you're using your dad's account... it's probably hard for you to do either of those.

If you don't want to use ebay, a tech website I like to buy stuff from is Newegg.com, they're reputable and I think they have pretty good prices. I believe they sell tablet pens (you'll have to check if they have the one you want) and you can use Paypal there.
