OK, think Mom's ready to go so I'm out of time.  So let's toss a simple scavenger hunt out..

Scavenger Hunt on the Internets

Search the net and find as many of the things on the list as you can.  Send a PM to this account with images of each item.  Label each item so I know what it is supposed to be.  (for example if  you find an apple with a worm in it, send the pic and label it (apple with worm in it))  Simple yea? 

I'll let this run for 24 hours so everyone has a chance.  Whoever finds the most gets a Custom Scroll.  If there is a tie, I'll randomize to get a winner.

Remember, send in pm, don;t post here.

some of these are deliberately vague, they are left open to interpretation.  Have fun!

My Jaeman Prophecy adoptable has both natural and fantasy colorations. Quite a few are real life horse coats, but even though they are realistically colored that doesn't mean they have a realistic breeding system. I usually just a color in between parents or from one of them and then some markings. So for a chestnut paint and a black roan I might do a brown roan with a bit of white paint somewhere on it. Or even as simple as swapping base colors and markings.. So one foal a chestnut roan and one a black paint. Chestnut + black might not likely produce brown in real life, but it doesn't have to be realistic genetically I think. If your adoptable doesn't do that, then that is fine. Just something that is a combination of both parents or takes after one would be fine I think. For my own adoptable I might even do chestnut body with black mane/tail, but I think SCs have to be realistic horse coloration? So no chestnut with black mane then xD

Honestly I think everyone always loves breeding, no matter what the outcome would be <3

I think for breeding you could just pick something like the parents that would also be possible in a RL horse. So for example a black crossed with a white, or pale grey could produce white, any realistic shade of grey or black. And markings like paint or roan could pass randomly. It wouldn't have to be like RL breeding to still produce a realistic looking foal.

hrm.. Maye.. I may try a small TINY breeding event, when I get school stuff caught up  It would be extremely limited mind you.  Just a test run I guess.  I'll see how I feel after school stuff is caught up.

Also, I just thought of something.  There was never any method set out to record blood lines, because it isn't somethign that matters for SC's.  (mostly cause yea, I'm a lazy git).  But If the day ever come that we become an agency, I'll need to know blood lines to enter things properly into secundi system yea?  So hrm.. I really don;t want to try adding more crap on the certs though..

And no entries in scavenger hunt yet.  hmm no one likes scavenger hunts, or it's too hard? lol  *wonders if that stuff can even be found*  I didn't look myself mind you, I just tossed random crap out of my head before running out the door lol

it's OK, I wasn;t complaining, just surprised.  I feared coming home and seeing my inbox lol

Oh and, FYI.. when I say realistic horse colors and markings, it means only colors that naturally occur, only markings that naturally occur (or naturally occurring markings I try to make and screw up XD *looks at Ripple* ).  It doesn't necessarily mean the colors and markings have to be found naturally together.  That was done mainly so I wouldn't have people requesting purple bodied horses with magenta manes and green sparkles lol

And with the introduction of off colored SC's, it gives even more leeway there.  So breeding I guess could be another way you could get a hold of an off colored SC.  So maybe a foal is born with tan paint instead of white paint or something *shrug*  You can;t order off coloreds in normal customs, but yea.. so breeding could be another way to get them I guess? 

Man, my head hurts.  Sat in the van in the heat for way to freaking long.

I also plan on entering Scavenger Hunt, but tomorrow morning. That leaves me plenty of time before the deadline, but tonight I have to work on certing over 100 Panda Shrimps and uploading them XD

And if you don't care about inbreeding and pedigrees you can just import every SC, including ones from breedings, as first gen so they don't have a pedigree

hmm well, I know some people care about it.  And I could do like I did with events on PI and make a "false" breeding.  So we could test run breeding, but not with you all's SC's, that way the foals aren't related..


And Lost has said she wouldn't mind doing breedings, as long as it's not a ton lol  So yay for that, I like her coloring so much better then my own lol

And fake breeding round would be fun too! Or even a breeding raffle where you randomly select who gets bred with who. Although I do want to breed my characters together XD

I think the people who really want to avoid inbreeding will keep track. Just like I keep track of my Garden Noms so I don't inbreed, even though they have no pedigree available.
