Breeding Season

It`s that time again!  The little boy hamsters and the little girl hamsters go frolicking in the meadows and then the boys go back to their usual lives of eating and sleeping while the girls have a whole new set of interesting sensations and responsibilities!

Want to breed your hamsters this season? 

Here`s what you need:
*Male hamster
*Female hamster
*Nesting Box

Don`t have one or more of those things?  You can advertise stud services or reverse breed services right here in this thread.  If you don't have a nesting box, perhaps there will be some way of acquiring one in the near future ....


Here`s what you do:

Submit your breeding form by Nov 11, 2009 at 23:59:59.  Do so by submitting a PM or posting.

Nesting Box URL:  Link to the actual nesting box or to your owner's thread.

If you're using someone else's hamsters you'll need to have them post or PM their permission as well.

Please remember:  Pregnant hamsters have to much else on their minds to compete!  So keep in mind who you want to breed and who you want to compete before submitting forms!

Well, I'll start.  Since Dessie and Juliet (my personal females) are both going to be competing this season I have two nesting boxes that are available to rent.  Each nesting box will have a small rental fee of 100 SG.

I also have two handsome gentleman hamsters that are available for stud services should someone be in need of a male this season.


Othello is a very friendly hamster but a little lazy.

Also, how many times can a male breed per season?

A maximum of 3 times per season for a male.  His stud fee is one baby if there is more than 1 in the litter.

Ahh nice!  I didn't want to ask for both, if they could only breed once, in case someone else needed one too.  but since they can breed 3 times each, I don;t feel so guilty asking for both lol

In that case I request permission to use your studs (both of them) one time each. (Assuming romeo's fee is the same, but if it is different, that is fine as well I'll pay whatever it is.)

And, I'll wait to post my forms until you post to confirm if I have permission to use them both or not.

YLO, I have a female and a nesting box. Im not sure how many offspring an average litter is, but Id be willing to give you 1/3 of babies, what ever that works out to lol.

Edit: I could have swore there was a fee to submit a breeding, but I cannot find it now.  so er if there IS a fee, could someone please point me to it?

Website says 1-4 babies will be born.
I don't know if you're allowed to trade/sell/gift/whatever nesting boxes though?
It says the person submitting the breeding has to own the nesting box.
So maybe that means you'd submit the breeding and I'd get a hamster?
If there are not enough babies born we could work out a SG fee?

well, if you "rent" one of the boys, we can use my female and nest box, and give you one of the babies Ill post the form once you decide what boy to use and pay quyllur for his stud fee

The fee is one baby if there's more than one. You also request one or more babies as a fee.
So I am kinda hoping for 3-4 babies, if not maybe one of you wants to accept a SG fee?

@quyllur: I'd like to request permission to use Romeo to breed him with indigo's Skeeter.
Indigo will be submitting the breeding, because I don't have a nesting box.

The rules in place on the website are there for just in case this adoptable gets big enough to become quite a hassle if I have to be running around looking for people's nesting boxes and hamsters.  As of now it's not busy enough to require that everything go exactly by the book, though of course I do encourage people to look at the website for guidelines.
