Letting everyone know that I am done with all things graphic right now until I get a new tablet pen.
The problem is... the old tablet pen was how I made the money. Not sure what's going to happen. About a month and a half till my birthday, but I doubt my parents will be able to afford a tablet pen.

So my pen is broken. My dog somehow got in and ate it. And apparently this is 'my' fault for him eating it. Yeah. Even if somehow this IS my fault, I don't see it. Last night some things happened...
And then this morning I wake up to a murdered tablet pen on my floor.

It's a bit sad.

Anyways, neo is not going to be able to participate in anything... digital or graphic until this is fixed. And that could be months. Because there is just no source of income for me. My parents couldn't care less about my tablet pen being gone.

So there's my little rant / explination. I hope no one is mad at me. I just... am frustrated and upset and I have no idea what I'm going to do about this. I can't get a job... I can't drive.

Awe, sorry to hear that Neo :(

Um, perhaps one of these would be an option?

New Small Bamboo tablet & pen for $60: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CTL460-Bamboo-Pen-Tablet/dp/B002OOWC3I/ref=dp_cp_ob_e_title_0

Referbished Small Bamboo tablet & pen for $42 + $7 shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-CTL460-Bamboo-Factory-Refurbished/dp/B003LVKQ18/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280599011&sr=8-7

New Old-style Small Bamboo + pent for $61 + $7 shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Bamboo-Small-Pen-Tablet-Only/dp/B000V9T2JA/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280599011&sr=8-4   <--what I currently use

New Bamboo Pen for $30: http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-EP150E-Bamboo-Pen/dp/B000XJJRIY/ref=sr_1_13?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1280599643&sr=8-13

Edit: Probably I'd recommend going for that first tablet.  It's only a couple dollars more than the referbished when you take shipping into account (you can do $0 super saver shipping on the new one).  I'm going to guess the $200 tablet you've been looking at is the Bamboo Fun.  These are just the Bamboo.  The difference is that the regular Bamboo does not include a mouse and doesn't include extra software, it's just the tablet and the pen - which, if you're like me, that's all you'd use anyways.  The price difference is huge.  For some reason (extra money anyone?) local stores don't tend to carry the regular version, only the Fun.  But Amazon has the regular.

Neocridders

So the regular is the same without mouse and without programs? I already have photoshop cs4 so i wouldn't need them. Omg.

Hey, I think with $67 you could cover most of even the most expensive one. =)

If you need a little extra to cover shipping, insurance, or other expenses, I don't mind putting $15 for two customs and the breeding I was hoping to order up front. That way you know everything is secure. =D

No longer has zombie eyeballs. May still have a craving for brains, as there's no intelligence or sanity left in hers. XD

Silvanon

Yup, the Bamboo Fun comes with the mouse, and Adobe Photoshop Elements, Corel Painter Essentials, and Nik Color Efex Pro softwares - that extra $140 you pay for the Fun is for those add-ons.  If you just need a good tablet and pen with the drivers to run them, the regular Bamboo is the way to go!  That's what I use, and I bought it off Amazon.

YourLoveOnly

Oh wow that would be awesome. That way I can order my litters and be a proper Gryphion stalker again. Eeee. That would be so great. And I know you really wanted that tablet so it's just really awesome if this works out =D

Neocridders

Silvanon, what do you think about Bamboo touch and pen  (it's a combo of the bamboo touch and bamboo pen)
It's got the touch capability on the pad, and I've never had that so I don't know if it's worth it, it may make it harder? I don't know if you'd know?

I wonder if anyone knows if that's worth the extra money? The wacom.com says it's $99 (and that's cheeaper than what I was going for anyway, but I don't know if it's worth te extra money for the touch part?)

Silvanon

Hum, I honestly haven't ever used one or even heard about them from other people.  It sounds like it probably adds functioning similar to a laptop's touchpad mouse thing.  Probably not something I'd spend money on myself, but *shrugs*  I'd suggest reading the reviews for it on Amazon & wherever else you can find them, and see if it sounds like it's useful.

Neocridders

Hmm yeah. It honestly doesn't seem like that great a tool for art use.
I think I'm going for a bamboo pen. My parents won't let me buy it until they look into it, but this seems best right here :D
Thanks a million, Silvanon, for all your help with the bamboo pen info.

Silvanon

No problem, glad to be of help! :)

I hope this works out for you Neo! <3
