Farallon Dragons! I still need to write these guys up a little background and their general physiology, but I want to whet the appetites of you guys for what is to come, and overall show off what I have created!

Essentially, these are mountain dragons, generally flightless. Their wings cause their fall to slow down just enough so that they don't injure themselves when they take great leaps down mountainsides. Males are substantially bigger and more aggressive, while females are agile and lithe. There is also a third gender... but we won't talk too much of those yet XD

Here are two females that I've colored so far. They have varying levels of fur and scaling. The green, blue and beige is actually a cosplay of a friend's character while the pink one is a rather rare critter with a large amount of scaling and lack of face tentacles. This hinders her sense of 'smell' slightly but she has other strengths to compensate.

I'm open to any ideas that you guys may have, so long as it's not a critique to the main design, which is a dragon that has fur and scales, and small wings.

I'm also open to ideas for what names to call the male and female of the species. And also a name for the third gender.. which in the simplest way to put it, is androgynous and neuter in a way. Thanks in advance! If someone makes a suggestion I like, there may be rewards. ;D

Spiderfly

My suggestion is definitely

male - Drake
female - Queen
neuter - Gilt

yupyup. *CLINGS TO HER PINK GIRL OF LOVE* I can't wait until you roll more of these beauties out, I'm going to be /all/ over them

These are very appealing, you have a lovely style! I especially like your eyes and feet, and the ears on the pink one.  :)

As far as critics, I have two suggestions.  First, add in a back wing.  (Even if it's in the same position as the front one, there ought to be at least a bit of it showing here and there.)  Second, they're a bit too large to fit fully in a forum post, which is where most people will be looking at them, so I'd suggest sizing them down a bit so they fit.

Nako

Yeah; resizing was something I realized I'd need to do as soon as I posted them. LOL. Whoopsie XD

I'll be sure to add the background wing in my next batch. The owners of the two that I've already finished have now been compensated in other ways for having only one wing showing. :) Thank you for the compliments and suggestions.

Thank you all that have responded. :D

And spides, I like the sounds of those. I'll wait a bit longer before I make an absolute choice on them, but they are definitely fitting.
